When accessing a deleted Roblox Marketplace item through its direct link, Roblox currently displays a 500 error instead of redirecting to the catalog page.
This appears to be unexpected behavior, as, to my knowledge, users accessing deleted item links have been redirected to the catalog page for years, and this behavior only seems to have changed within the last few days.
Steps to Reproduce
- Use the following item as an example: unfitdeath's T-Shirt - Roblox (the item has been moderated).
- Copy the item’s direct link and open it in a browser.
- Observe the page that is displayed.
Expected behavior
Users should not be shown the “Something went wrong – 500 | An unexpected error occurred” message, as this may give the impression that there is a problem with the website. Instead, the link should resolve normally and redirect the user to the catalog page.
