Developer Forum account remains on hold for 13+ days, blocking ability to share resources and tutorials

On March 15, I received both an email and a system notification indicating that my Developer Forum account was temporarily placed on hold (silenced).

Since then, the restriction has remained active for over 13 days without any update or automatic removal.

While the account is on hold:

  • I cannot reply to posts
  • I cannot create new topics
  • I cannot share resources or tutorials
  • I cannot participate in discussions

The only available interaction is liking posts, which effectively prevents any meaningful contribution, especially for sharing technical resources or helping others.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Have an account placed on Developer Forum hold (silenced)
  2. Wait beyond the expected temporary duration (e.g., 13+ days)
  3. Attempt to:
  • Reply to a topic
  • Create a post
  • Share a resource/tutorial
  1. Observe that all posting functionality remains disabled

Expected behavior

If the hold is temporary, it should:

  • Automatically expire after the intended duration, or
  • Provide a clear indication of:
  • how long it will last
  • whether further action is required

At minimum, users should not remain indefinitely unable to:

  • share resources
  • post tutorials
  • contribute to discussions
