Hey, it’s been 2 weeks that i have released my first game game, 100k Robux on sponsors, and i noticed a thing that i’m curious about and i don’t understand it.
So, on my first week of game, i have sponsored my game with a really bad in-game made thumbnail, and it worked really well, it got 0,002 CPP and was getting constantly 70 CCU
But it was one of the worst decisions ever, the players were really dumb and didn’t buy anything on the game, they were just trash! Anything was frustating them and making them leaving, so, my playtime was horrible!
I decided to make a more especific thumbnail, and it only got 0,003 CPP, 30-40 CCU on my game, horrible compared to the last one, BUTTTT, my playtime and revenue grew up a lot with this thumbnail, the players were smarter and were interacting much more with the game.
What i want to know is, the smaller your CCP is, worst players you get? And the bigger the CPP is, better players? My game has almost all stats on yellow-green rn, but my avarege playtime is still down the avg, and this is making my game not going to algorithim… I just don’t want to repeat the same error on my next game
What do you mean by worst/better? Are you referring to players who are bad/good at your game?
I think the CPP (cost per play) can be decreased by general acquisition optimization… so like.. your game’s front door (thumbnails for sponsored games, icon, and title/description).
I’d assume the more players play your game, the more good/bad players you’d see. With fewer players, you’d probably get a natural skew of either good or either bad. I don’t think CPP is associated with how good/bad your players are..?
I also think that the more players you get initially, you’d meet more “bad” players because they’re more likely to be bad at a new game. So, I guess low CPP (more plays) may happen while also having more bad players.
