It would be nice to have a feature that allows me to set up different experience icons for selected age groups.
This would increase engagement and CPU for many games.

Roblox is supposed to be empowering developers, not limiting them by saying they cannot take advantage of an emergent technology for no good reason.

Hi there! We will be integrating with IARC age ratings, so you will see different icons for each age rating!

By this do you mean custom icons that the creator can choose for every age group or that the IARC age rating will show on every icon, technically making it different?
For example, for US and Canada players, you will see 
for experiences rated EVERYONE and 
for experiences rated E10.
Creators will not be able to specify what the icon looks like, as the icon comes from the rating authority / regulator of that region.

Ohhh, I see what you’re saying. You’re asking if you can personalize the icon/thumbnails for different age groups. I thought you were referring to age ratings. Yeah, I can pass that suggestion along to the team that built Personalized Thumbnails.
