What it is
Dig up wild slime eggs with a timing minigame, hatch them in your own pen, and collect the jelly your slimes make. Sell jelly, upgrade your shovel to reach rarer eggs, and fill the Slime Book. Each egg holds 3 slimes, from Common to Epic, and the rare Rainbow egg hides Legendary ones. Wonder and Rainbow eggs are announced to the whole server.
What we’d especially like feedback on
First 5 minutes: Was the tutorial clear? Did you get stuck or bored anywhere?
Dig minigame: Does the timing bar feel fair and satisfying? How about on mobile?
Pacing: Did the first shovel upgrade feel reachable, or too slow or fast?
Anything confusing: UI, icons, or where to go next.
Overall I think you’ve done a pretty good job. It’s charming and pretty easy to understand.
The only thing I can think of to mention is that I’d like more secondary gameplay mechanics that include the slimes. Collecting them is fine and good, but being able to take them with you to explore, or have them help you in some way would be great.
Right now they just seem like cute eye candy, and not really companions that assist you in any way. Maybe that’s just something I want personally, and not an objective requirement. If they could be more interactive and engaging then I think this game would do pretty well. Right now I’m just wondering why I’m collecting them.
Maybe having hostile mobs in the fields, and letting your slimes defend you, would build a sense of companionship. It would also make you want more, so you can further conquer the lands and build your cute army. It doesn’t have to be militant, just something like bee swarm simulator. The bees defend you in that game while you achieve your goal.
