hello devform, i have a question would a dirt build up system similar to the one in battlefield be possible on roblox? if so what is the best way to approach a system like this
Maybe you can use decal or texture of mud and cloned it on the gun surface when it touched mud parts.

Hmmm…Maybe add some dirt spot/meshpart that are invisible into the gun.
Once a Humanoid touch a Dirt material,make the dirt spot/meshpart become visible

It is way better than textures, trust me.
i think i might have got it, each weapon will have a table of textures. when the user is detected to be crawling in mud the texture of the gun will slowly change to fit said material
Seem like a nice idea,you set up a table of texture with their ID.
When you crawling in Mud/Dirt,Your gun slowly change texture to Muddy/Dirty texture.Nice thinking!
