Discovery is falsely treating original murder mystery games like MM2 copies, and the flag remains after removing the genre name

My original game was hit with reduced exposure for supposedly being too similar to existing content.

MURDER MYSTERY IS A GENRE. It is not just another name for Murder Mystery 2.

My game is fully custom-coded. It has its own maps, UI, weapons, progression, abilities, and 14 playable roles. Hacker is a real role that teleports. Traitor, Cop, and the other roles shown in my old thumbnails are also legitimate roles. Nothing was fake or stolen.

The genre is flooded with temporary MM2 carbon copies using copied maps, weapons, UI, and generic titles. Roblox should deal with those games directly instead of letting their repeated metadata cause original games to be classified as copies.

I changed EVERYTHING anyway:

Renamed Murder Mystery Infinite to Secret Murderers
Removed “murder mystery” from the description
Rewrote the description
Removed update tags and social links
Replaced the icon
Replaced every thumbnail

The place file is original and has only been uploaded under my group. There is no metadata about Robux, giveaways, purchases, or monetary rewards.

Another original murder mystery game owned by someone I know was flagged around the same time. Murder Mystery Duo also had a similar restriction before it was later restored. After explaining this to Support, I was told Roblox is aware of the issue and that the appropriate teams are reviewing it.

At this point, my game is not even called Murder Mystery anymore. The entire public presentation has been replaced, but the reduced-exposure flag is STILL there.

Please manually review the current version and REMOVE the reduced-exposure restriction. The metadata that may have triggered the original classification no longer exists.

Am I allowed to use “murder mystery” to describe an original game’s genre, or will this happen every time because MM2 and thousands of stolen copies already use those words?

Expected behavior

Roblox should compare the actual place files and content instead of treating genre words as proof that a game is copied.

Since my current title, description, icon, and thumbnails no longer contain the supposedly similar presentation, the game should be re-evaluated and the reduced-exposure flag should be removed.

Original developers should also be able to use “murder mystery” as a genre term without automatically being grouped with MM2 copies.

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out. I will do a deeper investigation, but it seems like there are no issues associated your title. The may may have originated from the images you’re using. I will do a deeper investigation.

In the meantime, could you try updating your icon and thumbnail?

Hello, sorry for the late response. I have changed the game’s icon and thumbnails again.

Can you confirm whether the title Murder Mystery Infinite was not the issue? I want to make sure the reduced exposure was related to the icon or thumbnails and not the use of “murder mystery” in the title before I change it back.

I see you have restored the games visibility, thank you so much!

I’d like to confirm if I am able to restore the original description and title of the game to its original since you say that wasn’t the cause of issue.

Yes, the title seems to be okay. The issue was with the images that had previously been assigned to the experience. I’m not seeing any issues at this time

Yo, can you review my experience? i believe it followed discovery guilde.
