Recently my account was terminated for copyright violations by ROBLOX themselves and I was immediately terminated, upon asking the DMCA agents what assets had caused my account to be deleted they had had duplicated my DMCA strike x2 causing me to get 3 strikes instead of 2 which lead to my termination.
This should not happen as it should have counted as 1 DMCA strike rather then 2 on the same exact asset at the same exact time
Edit v
I’d like to add on to this, my first strike included 2 assets that had gotten DMCA’d at the exact same time because i had it uploaded twice. My theory is the DMCA agents agent understanding that 3 items being deleted isn’t 3 strikes, I don’t know what else to do because when I ask them why I was striked twice they say they cant provide any more info
Roblox scrapped the feature where you got 3 strike chances and your account was terminated after the third one a long time ago. Now there’s the “repeat infringer” policy, and you agree that your account may be terminated after multiple DMCA infringement violations, or even immediately depending on the situation. Check User Terms 2(e) of Roblox’s Terms of Use for more information: https://en.help.roblox.com/hc/en-us/articles/115004647846-Roblox-Terms-of-Use
So there’s no bug here, but you can ask the customer support team why the same asset ID appears in the second and third strikes.
In their own Terms of Use. On July 10, 2019, Roblox made a change, and according to the Terms of Use you agreed, that clause was updated and you can no longer find any trace of the old 3-strike policy.
It wasn’t, their account was terminated a few days ago. They still have the ability to counter, and in this case, the strikes they’ve received are invalid and incorrectly stacked. Don’t use TOS to imply that bugs are unreasonable or incorrect when the actual systems put in place are broken.
A counter-notice has nothing to do with the staff in a bug report, and Roblox does not get involved in a user sending a counter notice; in that specific case, the user needs to resolve the issue through legal means.
Also, I just realized it says “2 moderation” and is making a 3-strike list. Maybe they found 2 different specific violations on that asset (and it could even be on the game/group/etc.).
I find that you often assume things without even knowing the details of the bug report, if you don’t know what happened, refrain from commenting. User already explained it was one violation which incorrectly merged into two strikes.
Can we see the item that got dmca’d? It is definitely strange it’s been dmca’d twice and I honestly wanna see what got deleted. I would consider it being multiple assets of the item uploaded (mesh, texture); but that doesn’t make any sense because it’d show those asset ID’s instead
Hi @kruzzle it appears you have already been in direct contact with our moderation team regarding your issue, so we encourage you to refer to that support ticket for the specific details regarding your content/account moderations and any additional questions you may have.
We took a second look at the message referenced in your screenshot, and can confirm that the asset ID mentioned (95432937588394) was listed twice due to a copy/paste error on the responder’s part. Your copyright strike did not stack on the same asset. Our apologies for the confusion!
