I released closed beta to one of my games a few hours ago, almost all of my feedback of glitches/bugs/thoughts/opinions comes from the comment section. Theres hundreds of spam botted messaged within those few hours, it completely drowned out all legitimate comments that I depend on to make my game better. Come on Roblox enough is enough you need to fix this garbage, it’s destroying the site.
“go to” I would say shouldn’t get censored, though. A legitimate user could tell people to “go to the biggest tree near the mall to find the hidden badge” or some other possible scenario.
I just think that 100% copy paste should get detected automatically before it can reach legitimate users. It harms developers and users alike.
There’s another feature request about captchas already that goes into more detail, and for bug reports / feature requests I’d make sure that your post body/title is descriptive. The title doesn’t indicate what your post is about.
PS: staff have mentioned they are actively working on the problem of spam bots.
Having a captcha and filtering words involving currency could help, I don’t see why players would need to be discussing robux in the comments section of a game.
To be honest I think comments should get disabled across the site until they can be fixed. Either that or they need have a captcha every time you post a comment until they can get a better system.
Just wish it could be any more truer, and at least actually put it in more various points other than the login. and please let it be the newer one, it’s so much easier to use!
Ye I noticed this too.
I like to have comment section up so people can see that the game isn’t a scam but due to this flooding of bots iv had to disable it.
Now that’s fairly obvious nothing will be fixed for a while, someone should make a spam bot that tells users to not click links spammed in the comments. Just an idea.
