Do you beleive it is possible for someone to become a composer without music theory?

Recently I have been receiving some questions about whether or not you need to have done music theory to become a music producer. In your opinion, what do you guys think?

• No, you do not need to have done music theory

It all comes down to where you want to go. For Freelancing, you’re judged on your previous work. For professional (under a company) they will likely want you to be educated. Some producers never went to school, and have become very successful directly from freelancing.
