Does animtions works when you don't have permission to play them?

So I am making a game where you can hold objects. What I am trying to is: Play an animation when the player holds them. It worked with the owner but not me. My best guess is that since the animation is not mine (I am still Trial Rank.), It won’t work for me. It worked with developers tho.

I just wanted to make it clear for me.

Thanks for reading

I don’t think so. I tried to play an animation that wasn’t available for public use before, and it wouldn’t play, you’ll have to make your own animation, or use an animation made by the ROBLOX account, since those work too.

Roblox doesnt allow for animation sharing sadly, only way to share them is through an rbxm file or a roblox model that contains the KeyframeSequence

Animations that were registered to roblox by someone else will not work for other people only when playtesting on Roblox Studio. It will load normally if you join with the roblox client through the website.

No, however you can ask the original animation creator/uploader to save the animation keyframes to a file and have them sent to you (for example on Discord).

In my opinion, animations should remain like this, this makes game stealing way harder when the targeted place is full of custom animations.
