Hello, we’ve recently released this game on ROBLOX called Eldersburg, Maryland. It is a driving & roleplaying game similar to the many other driving & roleplaying games on ROBLOX.
We are wondering why this game is not gaining popularity, we have invested over 20k+ ROBUX in advertising the game through ROBLOX ads, and a bit in sponsored ROBLOX experience ads.
We’re currently averaging at 25 players, which is honestly not bad. But we’re aiming for a playercount of around 100-200 players. How do we achieve this? And what is the problem? We have tried a lot of stratergies, but I’d love to hear feedback on your side.
Are we getting worried too soon, and do we have to give it time to grow? Or do we need to spend more on advertising or have different stratergies?
Regarding the Advertisements, I’d advise that you don’t dump so much Roblox. You should advertise, yes. But in smaller amounts.
Looking at your game theme, it’s a roleplaying game. However, the themes could dwindle down into small Sub Categories. For example, you get soft roleplaying games such as Adopt me, but then you get to ones that are more realistic. Children like to play games such as Adopt me as it’s simple and appeals to the colourful mind of a child. You can cross most of people below the age of 12 off of your appeal list. The sheer size of ROBLOX’s player base that are children is GASTRONOMIC. Basically, your advertisements only make a certain amount of impressions on people, about 50 thousand per 5k ROBUX. When you look at the size of the child player base, its going to make the majority of its impressions on children, those who which your advertisements wont appeal as they don’t have those flashy blue, white and red colours that you see all over simulators. Simply enough, your game only appeals to a set group of people.
Alternatively, I would suggest finding a new method of advertising.
You could try to sponsor instead of advertising as sponsoring allows more options such as who you want to see it, 12 and under, 13+ or both, device, and gender. Plus, you can set a budget limit to how many robux in sponsoring per day like 500 robux per 5 days and it’s all automatic.
Hello! I would suggest getting moderators/administrators for your game, because while I was playing there was someone being toxic to me in chat and just crashing into players with his car at a very high speed. (Jaxology is the person I’m talking about)
