I would like to unprivate my inventory but not have all my assets publicly visible, so if I delete them from my inventory will it affect assets which are already in use in my games?
You probably mean archive. If you archive an item it will not be useable, but you can always unarchive it. You can’t delete items unless if you contact Roblox support. You could store your meshes and images on an alt account and have his inventory private.
I don’t mean archive, I mean just delete from your inventory - you can click “Remove” on your profile page or “Delete from inventory” on asset marketplace. But the use of an alt is a good idea, unfortunately I have existing assets already though.
are these items you made or you got for free from tool box?
They are assets I have made and uploaded to studio
You can’t delete them only archive. Which is like deleting the item, but you can always recover. But if you archive the item it won’t appear in game.
my bad it shouldn’t affect anything if its being removed from just your inventory
It depends. If it’s your own asset, then you can archive it as said previously by @Msgme_4issues.
But if it is not your own asset there is a very simple explanation. As long as that item will be available on the marketplace you will be able to use it. But if the item is being taken off sale, only players, who own it, will be able to use it.
Okay thanks. Just to be certain, if I remove the asset from my inventory it won’t be purged after some time and become unusable, and will instead remain in my game?
Sure! Once an asset is in a game it can’t be removed. Roblox has this system. If someone is able to upload something to a game it will stay available in the game.
