i made this forest using modified free models,i am trying to get it as realistic as posible. How can i make it look more…coniferous? so far it looks like the stereotypical creepy, misty forest, but the look i am trying to achieve is that of a moist, windy pine/spruce forest with lots of mosses. I could try to replicate cladonia mosses on small areas by using very tiny, white coloured trees. what are your suggestions to make it look more realistic? Also, rate it from 1 to 10.

It looks like a natural formation of trees and earth with effects of the moment of the earth’s crust and natural phenomenon.
Rating: 9.
Try to make it with your own models.
If you want advice for making a tree, I suggest using a software such as Blender for the trunk. Then use decals for the leaves.
It looks incredibly realistic. However, it requires habitats for the appropriate species that may dwell in the area. The floor requires a diverse ecology of fauna.
I think that you have done a great job and made a lovely forest feel to your build. I believe, from your images, that you have added a hint of fog - that does look nice. I do like the slight haze in the distance. Well done on your construction. I do know that the trees will cast shadows upon the floor of the forest but I wonder whether you may consider increasing the light level slightly as, from my perspective, I struggle to see what a lovely job you have made of the ground. How about some random clumps of ferns beneath the ground to add to the ground?
It’s impossible to tell from these images but, have you got sound effects of distant birds singing or any other natural sound effects?
Anyway, well done on your great build. I think that you have done a fine job.
probably going to change the lighting to something a bit more lively, but still kinda eerie, who knows, may add some will-o’-the-wisps too!

this is pretty much the look i am trying to achieve. The species i am trying to replicate are pinus sylvestris and picea abies.
I like the update, but now I feel like you need more trees. The first images on the post looked really nice. I was going to suggest roblox grass, but you have your own grass. You need more twigs/bushes all over the ground. With more trees and bushes and twigs etc, it would look nice.
I do not think it looks natural, it has no sense of variation to me. It looks too much like you’ve copy-pasted two-three trees. Sorry, I am being harsh, it is just that I loved adventuring in nature when I was a kid, and I don’t think your replication does the beauty of it justice. As you know, a forest should’ve indents and respectively height-peaks…?(I don’t know if that is a word). Branches, fallen trees, animals, river and not a bunch of small puddles. There aren’t usually any visible puddles in normal areas of a forest, oftentimes covered by leaves or they are really really ‘pale’. They are usually just strayed just a tiny bit away from the river (meaning placed near…) due to changes in nature. A forest is a natural habitat of some of the finest animals, you need to highlight this! And display it in a glamorous way.
Also, the way how the light gets bent by the leaves is very important, it is really hard to replicate it but it is not impossible! Also, shadows should be much more vague in fogs but extremely visible during the day, so use shadow map and play with shadow-strength. Personally, I think the morning is despicable, yet so lovely for the forest. It is the time when birds shine, but other than that, not a whole lot. I think you should explore options such as the afternoon and nighttime! Changing how light hits the ground is very crucial when making a realistic forest.
It looks great! But instead of using free model trees, try using a plugin. But overall your forest looks amazing!
