Drafts Mode Crashing and Losing ALL uncommitted scripts/drafts

TL;DR DONT use draft mode right now. Potential data loss on committing drafts.

A friend and I were in studio when I tried to commit something around 8+ drafted scripts and it seemed like it pushed them successfully. About 15 seconds later it shows “creating autosave” and kicks both of us out of the place and doesn’t let us rejoin for a few seconds. After successfully rejoining I see this message about the “legacy networking” (Roblox is a weird platform and I dont understand how these issues occur so often)

Then I realized every “committed” draft I had was gone and not pushed at all. Completely gone and it was roughly a few days worth of work and other edits.

I did some research to get my drafts back and learned they’re locally stored in User->AppData->Local->Roblox->sandbox->{placeId}->{userId}->drafts
This would’ve been more helpful but I already joined the studio and saw I had no more drafts, meaning my actual locally stored draft file was also empty. I got desperate and tried looking for an older restore point on my pc which I got lucky and found one a few hours prior.

I used a program called ShadowExplorer to search through the restore point and retrieve the old draft data which got some of my hopes up but after looking at the drafts bytecode, I noticed it was all 0000s so it was basically empty, once again roblox is pretty terrible. I decided to just cope with it and make progress towards the recode. I tried to commit ONE singular script this time instead of 8+ to avoid the issue from before but womp womp studio crashes seconds after for the second time. I was prepared this time around and copied the code somewhere else before committing but I’m turning off the draft system for good rn. Gonna eventually switch to all locally stored files because roblox clearly doesnt care. If anyone has any other tips to recover other draft data let me know. Otherwise spread the word bird
