The Dual Tixsplosion shoulder accessory incorrectly uses the LeftCollar attachment type, which causes it to fit improperly on non-blocky body types. The attachment type should be changed to Neck so that it stays properly centered with your body as you would expect on every body type.
Appearance on default blocky body, where it is centered as you would expect:
Thank you for flagging this. We agree that Neck Attachment would have been a better choice for this Accessory. However, if we change the Attachment Point assignment now, it can potentially mess up the placement of this Accessory for other users.
You should be able to move this using Accessory Adjustment to center it.
I understand the reasoning behind this but I don’t think that this same logic should be applied to issues relating to accessory attachments as the positioning issue varies from bundle to bundle and there might be limitations with positioning the way people would like. I think it’s better to fix it and let people reposition it in a way they like over leaving it in the broken state. If item adjustment was several times as powerful as it is now I would understand it more but I still think these issues should be fixed. If potentially a bunch of owners of this item advocated for the change would you do it?
We’ll bring this up to our colleagues in the Accessory Adjustment team to see if they can improve the tool to give folks more freedom of movement. They have been waiting for feedback on the tool to see if they need to broaden the amount of change allowed, and this is a good example of something.
We fully agree that changing it to Neck Attachment would solve many issues, and that’s what should’ve been done in the first place. But we don’t want to break it for others. Not everyone has access to Dev Forum to post their issues, and they’d just be left wondering what had happened.
I absolutely love the adjustment tool, and would definitely like to see the freedom of movement for the adjustment tool increased slightly. I think it would be a popular change to allow users to make even more creative outfits.
That being said, there’s probably a limit to how much adjustment should be allowed, whether that’s 1.3x, 1.4x, 1.5x the current movement range, etc. Practically speaking, this would likely solve the issue in this thread. But I don’t necessarily think attachment bugs should be used as arguments to extend the freedom of movement. Hypothetically, if the attachments here were more significantly misaligned, I think it would just warrant a breaking fix.
just my 2 cents in case this comes up again in the future.
