"Dubstep Boombox" was taken offsale by mistake

Theirs currently an issue with the gear “Dubstep Boombox” with it going offsale when it wasn’t suppose to.

Back in 2021 all the Boombox gears were taken offsale due to them being able to play custom audio by users, but unlike the other ones the Dubstep Boombox doesn’t play custom user audio instead it just makes the user dance as shown below

Expected behavior

Have the “Dubstep Boombox” go back onsale

The Beat Up Super Jank Boombox doesn’t work anymore due to privacy changes with ModuleScripts. Back when it released though, it allowed players to play Sound IDs like nearly every other boombox gear.

Hi there, thank you for the report. We’ve looked into the items you mentioned:

  • The Dubstep Boombox requires a sound asset that is no longer available on the platform. For this reason, it will remain off-sale for the foreseeable future.
  • The Beat Up Super Jank Boombox, however, seems to be affected by a technical issue related to recent engine updates. We have flagged this for investigation and will post an update here afterwards.

Theirs still a archive of the original sound that the dubstep boombox made in this video

It was created by the user “Keygenerator” on the website Freesound in 2010 (sound link), under the Creative Commons 0 license, meaning Roblox could freely use the sound without needing to ask or even credit the creator. This means they could very well reupload the sound and put the Boombox back on-sale, since the sound is in the public domain.
