Hi Creators,
Today we’re opening early access for Player Support for players who are age-checked 13+. This is a new way for players to report issues about your game and for you to respond, all without leaving Roblox. Reports today come in however players can reach you (community posts, DMs, off-platform servers), often missing details or repeating reports about the same bug that cost you hours to sort through one at a time.
Player Support closes these gaps over time. Every report captures diagnostic context up front, giving you a stronger starting point before you have to follow up. Repeat reports cluster into a single issue, so you triage one problem instead of dozens of duplicates. Later, the same system will route reports between creators, Roblox Support, and Safety, so a misrouted report reaches the right team instead of hitting a dead end.
Sign up here to get early access to Player Support.
How To Get Started
Once you sign up, you’ll receive a notification in Creator Hub and Studio letting you know you have access. Please note that access is granted on a rolling basis, not automatically.
- Open Creator Hub > Creations > choose your game > Audience > Player Support to reach your Player Support portal.
- Add the in-game reporting entry point using FeedbackType PlayerSupport.
- Review the pre-approved response library and turn on the categories that apply to your game.
- We’ll continue to add more pre-approved responses, plus the ability to create your own custom responses, in the near future.
Optionally, you can add a Player Support entry point to your Community page. To do so:
-
Go to the Community for the game where you want to enable bug reporting in Forums.
-
Click the three-dot menu and select Configure Community.
-
You can configure bug reports for Forums in a variety of ways:
-
On the Roles page, enable the new Attach bug reports permission for any role that should be able to submit bug reports across all forum categories.
-
On the Forums page, turn on bug reporting to specific categories for certain roles.
-
Enable the permission globally on the Roles page first, then turn it off for specific categories on the Forums page for more granular control.
-
Players Report Issues Without Leaving Your Game
Once you add the in-game reporting entry point using FeedbackType PlayerSupport, a player can file a report mid-session, right where they ran into the issue. Each submission:
- Uses a Roblox-designed reporting modal
- Available to players 13 and older (reporting for players under 13 is not yet supported).
- Automatically captures device and client metadata (OS, hardware, client version)
- Screenshot capture, so you can see exactly what the player saw
As mentioned above, you can also add an entry point from your Community page.
When a player is posting in your Forums, they can attach a bug report right from the post editor. Selecting Attach bug report from the + icon menu opens a window where they can add details and screenshots.
Once submitted, these reports route into the same Player Support queue as in-game reports, inside your game’s Creator Hub page (Creator Hub > Creations > choose your game > Audience > Player Support), where you can search your tickets and open any individual report.
Reports land in your Creator Hub portal with metadata attached, where you can search your tickets and open any individual report.
Players can then read your reply (and check ticket status or respond to a request for more information) in the Player Support portal. Tickets carry a structured open/closed status, and both you and your players get notified as a ticket moves. You can also filter your queue by read/unread status, respond to multiple similar tickets at once with a single bulk reply, and export your tickets to CSV for offline analysis.
Players can track their in-game support requests here: Log in to Roblox
Give Us Feedback
We want to hear from you as you try out Player Support, and there are two ways to share your feedback:
- Play our game! This is a game we built to show off Player Support in action. It walks through the full player flow so you can experience firsthand how players will submit reports, see how we implemented the feature on our end, and get ideas for how to set it up in your own game. We’d love to hear your thoughts, feedback, and suggestions. You can leave them directly within the game using the built-in support tool or in the comments below.
- Post in the Early Access DevForum thread: Once you’re accepted into early access, we’ll add you to a dedicated feedback thread just for early access creators where you can ask questions and tell us directly what’s working and what isn’t.
This Is Just The Beginning
This is only the beginning for Player Support, and we’re building fast. Here’s a look at what’s coming next to make it even more useful:
By the end of the year:
- Client logging and microprofiler dumps
- Spam detection
- Ability to create custom responses
- Translation for player-submitted reports
2027:
- Reporting for players under 13
- AI support for de-duplication and issue clustering
Please let us know if you have any questions.
FAQs
Do players see my Roblox account when I reply?
- No, players will see that a team member from your game has responded.
What happens to a report that isn’t about my game?
- Reports that aren’t about your game can be archived / closed out without any response.
Do reports count against any API or storage limits?
- No, they do not.
Can I message players directly instead of using the pre-approved response library?
- Not today. Responses come from the pre-approved library rather than free-form chat. We know free-form messaging is something creators want, and it’s on our radar as we think about where Player Support goes next.
Can my Community Forums support Bug Reporting?
- Yes, only available if your game already has a Community with forums enabled. Since forums are now tier-gated, you cannot make a new Community just to turn this on.
