Standard Training Guide
-
Put on a standard uniform if you’re under the rank of Brigadier. BRIG+ wear formals instead.
-
Go to an available pad and stand on the host pad.
-
Announce your training on Discord in the #events channel. Make sure to ping @EVENT. Announce in game too if you have admin commands
“@EVENT [TRAINING] A Standard Training is being hosted at the X Server of the Sandhurst Military Academy. Fall in with PT uniform and STS to earn a chance of promotion!"
:n [TRAINING] A Standard Training is being hosted at pad X! Fall in with PT uniform and STS!
- When people have fallen in, you conduct checks. You must check for the following:
- Are they wearing packages? (Packages are not allowed.)
- Are the Uniform Regulations being followed? (They must wear a physical uniform.)
- Are they wearing a realistic face? (Unrealistic faces are not allowed.)
- Are they using a realistic skin tone? (Unrealistic skin tones are not allowed.)
- Are they wearing any t-shirts? (T-shirts are not allowed.)
- Do not let any civilians, MAJ+ or ETS members fall in either.
If any of your attendees are found violating these policies, kindly ask them to fall out and fix it, so that they can fall back in afterwards.
- Now, if everyone is in STS formation and they are wearing the right uniform // Package // Skin Tone // Face and there are at least 4 attendees, you may lock your training.
(You just leave it there when it’s locked.)
“:sm [TRAINING] LOCKED! Come near for a free respawn!”
Do not let anyone fall in after you’ve locked your training.
- Now you can actually start your training. First, you introduce your training to your attendees.
“Welcome to my Standard Training! I will be your host, (insert name).”
“This is your co-host, (insert name).” “You will address me as (BA RANK) and (BA RANK) only.” “PTS is in effect.”
“Understood?”
-
Now you make them some JJ’s. 25 JJ’s are preferred. Do not give them more than 40 JJ’s.
-
Make sure they are doing the JJ’s correctly. Correct the attendees if they do them incorrectly.
-
When the JJ’s are finished, you begin writing down their names. Just open a notepad on your PC, and note their whole names without any spelling / grammar mistakes. If you dismiss someone or they fall out, remove them from your list.
-
After that, you begin listing the general training rules.
-
The general training rules are:
-
YOU WILL NOT MOVE OUT OF THE FORMATION UNLESS I SAY SO!
-
PTS IS IN EFFECT!
-
YOU WILL NOT TALK UNLESS TOLD TO!
-
YOU WILL NOT USE TOOLS DURING THE TRAINING! (INCLUDING GUNS, MOTORCYCLES)
-
YOU WILL REFER ME AS (BA RANK) AND AS (BA RANK) ONLY!
-
IF YOU GO AFK DURING THE TRAINING YOU WILL BE DISMISSED!
-
YOU WILL REPLY ONLY WITH “YES, (BA RANK)!” OR “NO, (BA RANK)!”
“FAILURE TO FOLLOW THESE SIMPLE RULES WILL RESULT IN DISMISSAL!”
“AM I CLEAR?”
All of those rules are just in general. You have to make them more creative using your own words for your own training. You are free to add your own rules too (As long as you follow those core rules).
- After you explained the rules, you will be moving onto the basic drills. Tell everyone to turn on mouse lock / shift lock. If someone doesn’t know how to turn on shift lock / mouse lock and you have a co-host,
then the co-host would take the person out from the formation then tell them on how to do it, then fall back in.
If they’re on mobile and aren’t able to turn it on, tell them to try their best in First Person. Then ask them if they know the basic drills. If someone says no, explain to them what each turn is.
Right / left turn is a 90 degree turn to either left or right.
Right / left incline is a 45 degree turn to either left or right.
About turn is a 180 degree turn / facing the opposite way.
Control turn is where you face the host at all times. If the host jumps onto your head, you must spin. Only centre turn can cancel control turn.
Centre turn is where you face the nearest 90 degree turn to the host.
If you feel like your attendees are new to the game, you might state the following rules. Otherwise, you are free to skip them.
- The general rules for basic drills are:
YOU WILL ONLY MOVE ONCE I HAVE SAID “TURN!”
YOU WILL USE MOUSE LOCK / SHIFT LOCK
YOU MOVE ON THE SPOT. WITH YOUR CAMERA. NOT WITH YOUR BODY!
Once again, you can add a few rules like centres or centers etc. USE YOUR CREATIVITY.
Then do a few basic drills.
- After you did the basic drills, move on to Elimination Drills (Elim Drills). If you have a co-host, you can make them do Elimination Drills.
The difference between Elimination Drills and Basic Drills is that when you make a mistake in Elim Drills you will fail, and you are required to SFL behind the person who is doing the Elim Drills. If you notice after a while, people are good and don’t make mistakes, then you can say, “From now on, the slowest one is out too!”. There should be 1 - 3 Elimination Drills winners. This is up to you. It’s your choice if you do 1, 2 or 3 winners. Remember to write down all the winners of the Elim Drills.
To get people out, you will say commands Grammarly wrong. E.G: 1NCLINE! instead of INCLINE!
Whenever someone gets it wrong, you explain what the mistake was.
- After you did the elimination drills, march them to an obby of your choice. Make them SFL behind you and ask them if they all know the marching rules. If someone says no, you explain the marching rules for them.
No sprinting.
No cutting.
No usage of tools.
No neck sniffing.
No head jumping.
No pushing.
No talking.
When you march, you have to say the marching command first.
“SQUAD,”
“BY THE FRONT,”
“PREPARE,”
“QUICK,”
“MARCH!”
Do not march to an obby, if it’s occupied. You simply pick another or wait for them to finish.
-
Once you have marched to the obby, you say “HALT!” and then you make them STS on the green lines. Then you check their names. If you find anyone who is not on your list, you kill them. Do not give any warnings. If you do not have a gun or commands, you simply ask them to leave.
-
Now you introduce them to the obby.
“Welcome to the Obby. You will be given 3 minutes to finish this.”
Then you ask them if they know the obby rules. If someone says no, you explain the obby rules to them.
No cheating.
No usage of tools.
No sprinting.
No talking.
No head jumping.
No pushing.
[To be updated soon]
-
If there are 8+ attendees, you split them up into two teams, Alpha and Bravo. Then have the first team DFL (Double File Line) on the green line. Make them start on the countdown if you have commands. Otherwise, you just make them start when you say ‘GO!’. Dismiss all cheaters, no warnings.
-
Those that fail will STS first. Those that pass will remain up top till the host says otherwise. Don’t forget to list everyone who passed the obby in time. If you split your squad up in teams, you can ask the first team questions or make them do JJ’s while they wait for the other team to finish doing the obby. Don’t give too many JJ’s. 30 is preferred. Then give the other team the same amount of JJ’s when they’ve finished the obby too.
-
When they’re all done doing JJ’s and all in STS formation, you check their names again. When you have checked their names, you call their name one by one to wedge. You pass all low ranks (PVT - SGM), but you only pass 25% of middle ranks (WO2 - CPT). So ¼. If there’s less middle ranks than 4, you pass all. When all the passed has wedged, you dismiss the remaining.
-
Now you need to take a screenshot. You can make them salute, at-ease, say BA#1, etc. Be creative.
-
Once you’ve taken the screenshot, you may dismiss your attendees.
“SQUAD,”
“DIS-”
“MISSED!”
- Then you log the training in #-event-logs on the main BA discord.
Failure to follow this format will result in strikes
Congrats! You finished your ST! Well done.
