Evil's Brainstorm & Outreach Bulletin -

- Hello! -

If you’ve stumbled upon this thread, you probably are interested in my game, :star:[FREE ADMIN] a literal baseplate. That… or you clicked this link by accident… or you found this randomly on DevForum… or you aren’t interested in my game at all and are curious as to how you can contribute to making this game more interesting. This bulletin thread will be my platform to outreach to the community at large, and be able to keep you guys informed consistently, and formally.

:small_red_triangle_down: Although this is a feedback thread, this thread does not allow replies :small_red_triangle_down:

If you have feedback, suggestions, or answers to any of my questions, please message me on ROBLOX, or post your reply on my group wall. You can also message me on the forums, @evilitself.

This thread is intended for me to hear what the community has to say, and is purely to make sure that any future updates & changes will be in the best interest of the community.

- Game Ideas / Brainstorming -

this list will be updated regularly. these are just ideas, and they may or may not be added in the future. this is here for your feedback.

Table of Contents

1

- Game Title -

Changing the title of the experience to something more along the lines of "evil's baseplate" to give a more identifiable name, as well as changing the emoji in the title to something that is more fitting with the theme and game.
would this become an issue for previous players to identify the game?

2

- Thumbnail/Icon -

Giving the game a professional icon and thumbnail that isn't auto-generated from Studio. This would help make the game more appealing for new players and stand out more. I'd do my best to stick to my roots and have something unique made, and stay true to what the game was intended to be.
would this become an issue for previous players to identify the game?

3

- Gamepasses -

The implementation of these would NOT include me removing non-abusive commands and making them a premium, but would instead include new features that expand the functionality of admin commands, and the functions that the current commands have. Gamepasses would be affordable, and would not allow abusive permissions. Gamepasses would also allow users to enjoy the game with less restrictions and wouldn't allow new users to affect gameplay by abusing aspects of the game that I would typically have to limit or remove. These are my current ideas for gamepasses that I have in mind, please let me know of any concerns with these, or if you have your own gamepass suggestions;
  1. Avatar Saver - Save multiple avatars to load using a UI, and have the ability to load a default avatar on [re]spawn.
  2. Gear Setups/Saver - Save multiple gear toolbars to load using a UI, and have the ability to set a default toolbar to get on [re]spawn.
  3. Infinite Command Values - Limits will unfortunately be lowered soon to prevent abuse, and commands like speed/spin will be toned down. There are very little reasons as to why these commands need to push past a certain point, but if that’s your thing, go at it.
  4. Custom Assets - Custom gears, accessories, and morphs sold individually. The gears would consist of non-abusive gears that are community made.
  5. Boombox - This would come at a LATER date when I remaster the music command, add queues, and make sure that everyone has a fair chance at playing music using the command. Boombox is
  6. Chat Colour - Allow for users to have a custom chat text colour for their account, with options from predetermined colours to avoid impersonation.
would players be upset with paid benefits? would you be able or willing to get any of these gamepasses?

4

- Additional Custom UI -

Adding a more complex UI that shows up when you join, and a UI menu that can be opened using a button on the top bar. This would have feedback forms (incl. a player/gear report form), information, gamepasses³, functions & utilisations of new features, leaderboards, etc,.
do players find starter UI menus annoying, should it just be a button to open the UI?

5

- Statistic-based permissions & Premium benefits -

These would work one on one with gamepasses³, and would likely be implemented as an alternative for the small gamepasses³ that allow users to bypass certain restrictions that were set in place to prevent spam, abuse, and... well... chaos. A statistic to base these permission elevations could be 'playtime', 'commands executed', 'join date', etc., to make sure a user is a regular or trusted player, and to prevent users from making accounts and joining to affect server quality. Premium would grant the exact same permissions as statistic-based permissions, and would suggest that a player is authentic.
would there be any statistics that are effective enough?

6

- ForceField Enabled/Disabled Servers -

As I work on the ForceField function that is toggleable and protects users from PvP, it may be a tangible solution to create different servers for each option (and work on spawn protection). This would require a UI hub where server selection can be done. This would allow me to be stricter on ensuring that players who want to use passive commands aren't being affected by players that are wanting to use PvP-based gears and commands to battle with other players. I would work on balancing gears, instead of blacklisting or making gears non-functional that interfere with ForceField Enabled players. This implementation would be dependent on player activity, and would only be implemented if there are enough players to fill both servers.
would a UI hub annoy players? would there be compatibility issues if there is a mandatory UI to select server type?

- Questions for the Community -

this list will be updated regularly. please contact me to give a written answer on any of the questions. fill out the polls truthfully.

  1. What are your thoughts on server size? -
The current server limit is 10 players per server. Should it be increased, decreased?

  • Decrease
  • Remain the same

  1. Do you prefer the baseplate or would you like a map better? -
This game will always be a baseplate, but I am curious how many people prefer a baseplate over a large & open but detailed map? Do you like the simplicity, or do you find it to be underwhelming sometimes?
  • Baseplate
  • Open Map
  • Either - it doesn’t matter

  1. Would you prefer PvP enabled or disabled? -
At the moment a player with ForceField Enabled can damage a player ForceField Disabled. To answer this question, assume ForceField needs to be disabled for both players in order for the gears to be effective.
  • PvP Enabled (ForceField off)
  • PvP Disabled (ForceField on)
