so i was working on my game today and there was a pop up saying update studio, pressed it then it updated my studio but, my game didint save and now all the progress was gone i had auto save on if anyone can tell me why it didint work i would greatly appreciate it.
Firstly, wrong place to post it here, it should be put in Platform Usage Support.
Secondly, it could either because of ROBLOX servers dying or a bug ongoing that doesn’t save. If you experienced the latter, you should report it.
Autosaves are on your computer.
Check your studio settings tab in Studio to see where it saves your files and check there.

Regardless, still checking to see that file wherever it saved on your PC is something you need to do.
You cannot expect it to publish or save if you haven’t personally seen any messages telling you that Studio has saved; at the bottom of studio, you’ll notice these messages when you publish, Save to Roblox, or even for Auto-Save file creations messages should pop up.
The screenshot you included isn’t your autosave file location. It’s your last version saved to Roblox’s server.
Please show us a screenshot of your Autosave folder. I know at one time I had 2 Autosave folders but they were in 2 locations in my computer. I tried looking at the one I could see, but couldn’t find any saved work. I had to look for the file location in my Studio settings to see where it was really saving to.
I think the default ‘autosave’ setting is 5 minutes (I could be wrong) so you should have only lost 5 minutes worth of work.
If it doesn’t have a saved version of your game in your Autosaves file folder then double check to make sure your auto save is enabled. Maybe uncheck it if it is, then recheck it. Do some editing in Studio for a minute longer than your interval and then see if there is a saved version.
