I own a game called Pine Ridge.
This is NOT a social hangout game, but the game was recently forced to be privated due to the moderation thinking it’s a hangout.
I make roleplay games. That’s my ENTIRE brand.
Expected behavior
I should expect my game to not be unrated and re-rerated because of this.
I believe there’s a fault in the actual system that moderates these experiences, even when I disclose that the game is a roleplay game at every point I can.
Even in the description;
This is a freeform roleplay.
Inspired by Toast22A’s “Clear Skies Over Milwaukee” & Stranger Things.
Hi there, the mods are the ones who determine whether it’s a social hangout or not. Just because you label it as a roleplay doesn’t mean that the mods will agree. Essentially you’re hanging out in your roleplay character, which I think the mods still classify as a social hangout.
Even though I’ve created a roleplay game with tools and items that the player can use to roleplay and dozens of systems on top of that, are you saying that it can still be labelled as a social hangout if the players don’t roleplay? Since, the primary theme and activity is to roleplay by their metrics.
That feels like it’s a double edged sword and proves more problematic than it should be if I’m under the correct assumption.
Should I start kicking the players if they don’t narrate actions in roleplay? Is there anything else I can do so it doesn’t get flagged as a social hangout game?
Am I allowed to resubmit my labels with social hangout set to ‘No’ even though moderation has unrated the game and suggested the new label or will I get moderated despite this being the truth?
I believe that there’s another bug going on with moderation tools.
I joined a game to see if it had stolen my game’s assets since I had gotten informed by a friend to which I had gotten a warning for the content’s behaviors. My appeals were denied, and it made accessing roblox impossible since it only showed a blank screen.
Went into studio to build (after having already accepted the warning, and it showed the notification again before closing my studio file, resulting in lost progress.
Great, if you’ve submitted the appeal via the violations & appeals portal, our mods will review the appeal (regarding content maturity).
I recommend opening a new bug for the other issue you’re mentioning. It seems unrelated to the social hangout issue you’re mentioning, and the team that triages these reports will reach out to the relevant team.
Hey boss! This happened again except for another one of my games.
Got incorrectly flagged for blood twice within an hour on the same experience, and then sexual content.
I believe that the issue lies within the model name? I’m not sure. It’s based off of a location from a book series, Percy Jackson (camp half-blood) But the word blood shouldn’t make the game get reviewed and forced to take the ‘Blood’ rating.
And as for the other elephant in the room; I was banned for sexual content from the same experience, which I ain’t got a clue how they managed that one.
My game features none of that. It is a blank baseplate with customization tools.
Here’s my post describing more, and other screenshots I can provide.
