Experience unavailable in 24 countries despite “Non-Compliant Regions: None”

Hey everyone,

I’m trying to figure out a strange regional availability issue with my upcoming experience, Floorfall.

The experience is still WIP and hasn’t been publicly released yet.

I originally completed the Content & Maturity questionnaire incorrectly, so I went back, properly read through the questions and Roblox’s requirements, and completed it again based on the actual content in the experience.

The questionnaire is now showing:

Content Maturity Label: Minimal
Descriptors: None
Non-Compliant Regions: None

However, when I check the Demographics section, Roblox still shows the experience as unavailable in 24 countries.

What’s confusing me is that the countries aren’t showing as non-compliant in the questionnaire at all. The questionnaire says there are zero non-compliant regions, yet the experience’s demographics still indicate that users in these 24 countries cannot access it.

So I’m essentially seeing two different things:

Maturity & Compliance:
→ Non-Compliant Regions: None

Demographics:
→ Experience unavailable in 24 countries

I initially thought this could simply be because I had answered the questionnaire incorrectly, but after retaking it correctly, the exact same country restrictions are still there.

I’ve also checked the experience metadata and our monetization setup. We use Paid Random Items, but our system already uses PolicyService and ArePaidRandomItemsRestricted to handle users who are restricted from paid random items.

I’ve been going through other DevForum reports about experiences being unavailable in specific countries despite having the questionnaire set to All/None. I’ve found several cases that seem related, including some where developers eventually discovered something inside the experience causing the restriction.

However, I couldn’t find a report that clearly matches this exact situation, where the questionnaire itself explicitly says “Non-Compliant Regions: None” while the Demographics page still shows 24 restricted countries.

I’m trying to figure out what could actually be responsible for this. Could it be:

  • a specific asset used in the experience?
  • an experience asset with its own regional restriction?
  • metadata?
  • a monetization/compliance setting?
  • an experience-level restriction that isn’t reflected in the questionnaire?
  • or simply a delay/mismatch between Roblox’s regional compliance system and the Demographics data?

Experience: https://www.roblox.com/games/76375505511845/Floorfall

If anyone has experienced this exact mismatch or knows how to determine why those specific countries are being restricted, I’d really appreciate some help. I’m mainly looking for a way to identify the actual cause rather than randomly removing things from the experience.

Expected behavior

The experience should be available in all countries because the completed Content & Maturity questionnaire currently shows “Non-Compliant Regions: None.” The Demographics page should therefore not show any countries as restricted unless Roblox has identified a separate regional compliance restriction.

Hello there, the unavailable regions are not currently due to the questionnaire responses. I’ll see if we can make the text clearer that “Non-Compliant Regions: None” does not include other regional compliance issues outside of the questionnaire.

It is generally related to your in-game content or your game metadata.

Thank you for clarifying this. That makes much more sense and explains why the “Non-Compliant Regions: None” result was confusing.

Since you mentioned that the restriction is generally related to in-game content or game metadata, would it be possible to provide any additional information about what specifically is triggering the regional restriction on our experience?

We have already reviewed the questionnaire and understand that it is not responsible for these restrictions. We are now trying to audit the experience and its metadata to identify the actual cause, but without knowing what Roblox’s system is detecting, it is difficult for us to determine where to look.

If possible, could you let us know whether the restriction is being caused by a particular asset, image, audio, animation, model, avatar/UGC asset, thumbnail, icon, description, or other metadata, or at least which general category is responsible?

We are happy to remove or replace any content that is causing the issue. We mainly want to identify the actual cause rather than making random changes to the experience.

Also, if there is any way for us as developers to independently identify these regional compliance issues through Creator Hub or another Roblox tool, I would greatly appreciate being pointed in the right direction.

Thank you again for taking the time to look into this. This is the first response we’ve received that has clarified what is actually happening, so I really appreciate it.

I don’t live in any of those countries, but your game is unavailable for me.
I’ve also had this happen to my other game in last spring, then a few weeks later this regions ban was randomly removed.

I am experiencing this issue as well. I am from Canada.

Unfortunately, due to regional requirements, we cannot disclose the specific reason as to why your content is region-restricted. But the restrictions will be lifted within a few days when you remove the restricted content.

Cannot disclose the problematic in-game content, but expects creator to remove it from the game :sob:

My project hasn’t even released yet and even been in WIP since a month. Not long ago. Doesn’t make sense why it already got flagged from those countries.

Regular ban would be even better in this case as it would at least display a reason why the game got banned.
Your situation is really troublesome as you have to guess what is wrong.
I’d suggest removing everything, including decals and custom textures from the game, anything that is not essential to see if that can resolve the problem.

I’ve seen something similar in another thread where moderator could not reveal the reason for the moderation, and it’s understandable since it’s their job. However Roblox should be responsible for resolving this issue or creating a communication channel with developer to work on the problem together.

Yeah, that’s exactly what’s frustrating me about this. I completely understand that Roblox may not be able to disclose the specific reason, but without even knowing the general category, we’re basically left guessing and potentially removing perfectly fine content.

I’m going to start checking/removing non-essential assets and content step by step and see if the restriction eventually disappears. It’s just frustrating because the game has only been WIP for about a month and hasn’t even been released yet, so I really didn’t expect to run into a regional restriction this early.

Hopefully Roblox eventually provides developers with a better way to identify what is actually causing these restrictions.

I completely understand that you may not be able to disclose the exact reason publicly due to regional requirements.

However, if possible, would it be possible to discuss this through a private message or another staff-only channel? Even if you cannot tell me the exact restricted content, any additional guidance about what I should look for would be extremely helpful and could point me in the right direction.

My main concern is that there may be more than one piece of content contributing to the regional restrictions. If I start removing things blindly and the restriction remains, I won’t know whether I’ve removed the wrong content or whether there are multiple issues causing it.

I’m more than willing to review and remove anything that needs to be changed. I would just really appreciate some guidance so I can approach this systematically rather than guessing and potentially changing/removing unrelated content.

Thank you again for taking the time to help with this.

Hello again, and I’m sorry for messaging so much about this. I really appreciate you taking the time to respond and clarify things for me.

I just wanted to follow up because I’ve actually been trying to figure out the cause of this issue for around three weeks, even before creating this thread, and I still haven’t been able to identify what is triggering the regional restriction.

I understand that you cannot disclose the specific reason due to regional requirements, and I completely respect that. However, I’m struggling with the fact that I’m being told the restriction will be lifted once the restricted content is removed, while I have no way of knowing what content is actually causing it.

Regarding the Content & Maturity questionnaire and Paid Random Items, we have specifically made changes to our game to follow the requirements. We use PolicyService and ArePaidRandomItemsRestricted to determine when purchased currency cannot be used for crates in a player’s region.

For example, when a player is restricted, our shop explicitly displays “Purchased currency can’t be used on Crates in your region”, and the purchased currency cannot be used to open the crates. We implemented this specifically because of the questionnaire requirements and to make sure restricted players cannot use purchased currency for the random rewards.

So if the current regional restriction could still somehow be related to our Paid Random Items implementation, I would really appreciate knowing whether there is anything else we should investigate regarding it.

I’m also worried that there could be more than one piece of content involved. If I remove something and the restriction remains, I won’t know whether I removed the wrong content or whether there is another restricted item still causing the restriction.

If possible, could someone from the staff team privately give me even a general direction, such as whether the restriction is related to an asset, image/texture, audio, animation, metadata, monetization, or another category? I completely understand if the exact reason cannot be disclosed. Even narrowing it down to a general category would help me tremendously.

I’ve already gone through the questionnaire, metadata, monetization setup, PolicyService, and the other similar reports I could find, but after three weeks I’m still stuck trying to identify the cause.

I also feel uncomfortable releasing the game while these countries are restricted. Some of my testers, including one of the developers working on the project, are located in affected countries. I really want to make sure they can access and properly test the game before we release it publicly.

I’m more than willing to remove or replace whatever is necessary. I just really need some direction so I can investigate this properly instead of blindly removing content and potentially creating more problems.

If a private message or staff-only conversation is possible, I would really appreciate the opportunity to discuss this there and hopefully get pointed in the right direction.

Thank you again for taking the time to help me.

Hello again,

I want to be completely honest because this situation has become extremely frustrating and, at this point, feels quite absurd from a developer’s perspective.

I followed the guidance given and decided to take this to the extreme as a test. I removed essentially everything from the experience… not just a few assets or questionable content. I removed the custom content down to the smallest details, including the map and even the baseplate itself. The experience was basically stripped down to nothing.

The purpose was simple: if the regional restriction was actually being caused by something inside the experience, removing everything should eventually give us some indication that the restriction was coming from the content.

However, the experience is still unavailable in the same 24 countries.

I understand that Roblox may need time for regional compliance information to refresh. I’ve heard that moderation/availability-related changes can take around 24 hours to update, and I was also told by staff that these restrictions should be lifted “within a few days” after the restricted content is removed. That’s why I’m willing to give it some time before drawing a final conclusion.

But this raises a very serious question for me:

How is a developer supposed to determine what the problem actually is?

I have already spent around three weeks trying to investigate this before creating this thread. I completed and retook the questionnaire, reviewed the metadata, reviewed the monetization system, followed the PolicyService requirements for ArePaidRandomItemsRestricted, looked through other developers’ reports, and tried to identify possible problematic assets.

I then asked Roblox Support for help multiple times, including four separate tickets, and most of the responses simply redirected me back to the same general documentation.

Now that I’ve finally received clarification from staff that the questionnaire isn’t responsible, I’m being told that the restriction is related to some content or metadata, but that the specific reason cannot be disclosed.

I completely understand that there may be legitimate reasons why Roblox cannot disclose certain regional compliance details. But from a developer’s perspective, this leaves us with a riddle.

I’m essentially being told:

“There is something wrong somewhere. We cannot tell you what it is. Remove the problematic content and it will go away.”

But if I don’t know what the problematic content is, how am I realistically supposed to fix it?

And now I’ve removed practically the entire experience, yet the restriction is still present. If it eventually disappears, I still won’t necessarily know which piece of content caused it. If it doesn’t disappear, then I’m left wondering whether the issue was never actually inside the game in the first place.

This is especially concerning because this isn’t some already-published experience that I can simply accept losing some regional players from. The game hasn’t even been released yet. Some of my testers and even one of the developers working on the project are located in the affected countries, so I don’t feel comfortable releasing the game while we don’t even understand why those players are being blocked.

I genuinely want to comply with Roblox’s requirements. I’m not asking for an exception or asking Roblox to allow content that violates regional laws. If something in my experience is actually causing the restriction, I want to fix it.

What I’m asking for is simply enough information to make that possible.

Even if the exact reason cannot be disclosed, being told something like “this is related to an image asset,” “this is related to monetization,” “this is related to metadata,” or “this is an experience-level restriction” would give me an actual direction to investigate.

Without even that level of information, developers are forced to randomly remove content from their experiences and hope that eventually something changes.

I really hope Roblox can consider improving this process in the future. A system that tells developers that something is restricted but gives them no practical way to identify what is causing it makes debugging these issues extremely difficult.

For now, I’ve stripped the experience down to essentially nothing and will wait for the regional availability information to refresh. If the same 24 countries remain restricted after the expected update period, I would really appreciate it if this could be looked at as a possible backend, metadata, or experience-level issue rather than continuing to assume there is some unknown piece of in-game content causing it.

Thank you for taking the time to read this. I genuinely appreciate the clarification you’ve already provided… I just hope we can find a way forward from here.

Please respond if after a few days, your game is still regionally restricted.

I understand that this is really frustrating, but unfortunately, all I can share is that you should review all the game content (assets, text labels, etc) and game metadata (game name, description, thumbnails / images).

So, if I understand correctly, I’m expected to remove content one piece at a time and wait “a few days” after each change just to find out whether that particular asset was responsible?

If that’s the case, it could potentially take weeks or even months to identify a single problematic asset, especially for a larger experience with hundreds of assets and pieces of content.

I understand that you personally may not have the ability to disclose or investigate the exact reason, and I don’t blame you for that. But from a developer’s perspective, this process is extremely difficult and frankly feels unreasonable.

At this point, I’m not asking for the restricted content itself to be disclosed if that’s something Roblox cannot provide. I’m asking how developers are realistically expected to troubleshoot these restrictions when the only available method is essentially “remove something and wait a few days to see if that was it.”

I appreciate that you’re trying to help and I understand that this may be outside of what you can personally control. But honestly, the current process for developers dealing with these regional restrictions is extremely frustrating and poorly suited for actually resolving the problem.

I’ll wait the requested few days and respond again if the experience is still restricted. I just hope there can eventually be a better way for developers to identify what is actually causing these restrictions.

I hope Roblox main higher up staff team responsible for these bad updates and horrendous user experience will be replaced soon.

The way how Roblox officials respond to parents, and the way how the Roblox public image looks like right now on the news, makes this platform extremely kid-unsafe place despite chat restrictions. Even without predators this platform has tons of issues for which it should be investigated.

Roblox is a really overvalued company right now because there isn’t any other such online social platform for kids where players can compete or just play together, even if it had no chat.

Could you advise on the review route for another affected experience, MageBrawl [ALPHA]? Universe ID: 10633736686; place ID: 84169602023740.

As of October 6, 2026, Creator Hub > Analytics > Demographics lists Turkey and 22 other countries as unavailable because of local requirements. Access is set to All regions/All ages. The completed questionnaire shows Mild, Violence (Repeated/Mild), and Non-Compliant Regions: None. Players in Turkey report that they cannot find or join the experience; I do not yet have their exact join error code.

I understand from your explanation that the questionnaire result does not cover every regional restriction. I tried the Support form and the content appeal category, but both routed to the chatbot and neither produced a confirmed case number or human review.

Could staff check whether this experience’s restriction is correct, or direct me to a working review channel? Any actionable guidance about which content or metadata category to inspect would help. I am not assuming this is a bug or requesting an exemption from regional requirements.
