As the title suggests, I’m experiencing major FPS drops in some of the games I play in specific sections of the map. The FPS counter I got from pressing Shift+F3 and my NVIDIA FPS counter on the top right display that I either have 100 or 200+ FPS, but in reality the FPS drops to completely unplayable levels.

Capping my FPS appears to solve this issue, however I want to know why uncapping my FPS may lead to this.
Turned off Hardware Accelerated GPU Scheduling in Windows settings.
The last post had some horrific grammar so I’ll keep this short: Too much load on GPU, CPU sitting around doing nothing. Turning HAGS off balances things out.
I can now play with my FPS uncapped without issues. If you have the same issue, I hope this solution works for you.
Update: I’ve tried turning HAGS on again and it worked perfectly. This might be due to faulty graphics driver which I’ve updated prior to turning it back on.
