Explorer black when playing in vr

The new gen explorer seems to be built with roblox’s inhouse lua gui system not like how the properties is built. When running roblox’s gui in dev panels go black. Unable to see what is in them. This really annoying with the new explorer since it goes black now making debugging hard.

Expected behavior

I am expecting the ui not to be black and for it to be visible.

This occurs on non-QT plugins.

This is still happening, cannot do basic VR dev debugging…

It would be great to hear from someone who has a fix or a member of Roblox about this bug.

It is extremely difficult when core studio tools like the debugger have gone black whilst in runtime.

There should be at least an option to enable the old explorer. The old explorer did not go black making it possible to view the game tree. This new explorer uses the roblox’s in house GUI engine which goes black on runtime.

I would really appreciate if this issue could be at least addressed.

This problem is even worse on my end

Literally cannot see the client’s perspective alongside the explorer being completely gone.

Why is this being ignored? I’m severely impacted from this bug which is out of my control unless I resort to studio modifications.

oh, i’m not the only person
i have the same issues
if you own a Meta/Oculus headset, you can still see the contents of your headset’s screen by doing the following:
go to C:\Program Files\Oculus\Support\oculus-diagnostics (assuming your installation directory is unchanged & you’re on windows)
connect your headset and make sure it is linked (if it isn’t already)
finally, open OculusMirror.exe
this unfortunately isn’t a fix for the explorer

bumping this post, the blacked out Explorer issue makes debugging in vr almost, and if not, completely impossible.
