As a developer that finds myself constantly writing plugins to visualize different instances, I would like to have the Show Light Guides property of “Studio” (or the setting) be lowered from Roblox Script Security to Plugin Security, so that I could automate atleast other visualization plugins whether they should display or not.

unfortunately this is actually an user setting so i doubt roblox will do anything in your case. thanks for telling me this exists though. also, MoreEditors exists! they do light guides just fine
Other settings (like “Show Navigation Mesh”) do allow plugins to edit them, so I see no reason to lock this specific one.
I could go as far as to say Studio should have those guides by default, instead of developers having to create plugins to visualize instances
