Pressing F5 does not respect the playtest mode selection and simply enters the default “Test” mode.
Video example
Reproduction steps:
- Open any studio place
- Choose any playtest mode that isn’t the default “Test”
- Press F5 to start a playtest
- Notice how it gets set back to the default “Test” instead of the previously selected mode
Beta features I have enabled
- Dragger QoL Improvements
- Live Animation Creator
- New Studio Camera Controls
- Next Gen Studio Preview
- Revamped Asset Manager
- Script Sync
- UIDragDetectors
- Video Uploads
Expected behavior
The F5 shortcut should respect the playtest mode you selected (i.e. “Test”, “Test Here”…).

This is still a bug and this is still very annoying.

This is an intended feature, not a bug. Each playtest mode has it’s own keybind, and F5 is bound to Play Solo mode by default.
Still might be worth making a feature request for a Play keybind that respects your current playtest mode.
Didn’t know this! I could swear the old behavior is what I described… I’m probably misremembering.
In that case, I’ll close this thread.
