Fall Festival - Need HONEST Feedback

Hi Everyone, I’m currently preparing a game for October. I used to create annual Halloween games back in the day (like 2015.) I had success reaching the front page back then but I understand now things are entirely different.

So what exactly do I need?

I’m running some small ads to get a feel for how players may be receiving this version of my Halloween game. Purpose being t hat I would like to have things prepared and good to go for October. However, I’m failing to get a lot of retention right now so I’m sure something is missing.

While most feedback I’ve received is good (I enjoy the vibes, the minigames are fun) there has been some negativity but without constructive criticism (you’re game is trash, this game sucks, etc.)

I’m looking for questions answered such as…

Is the presentation eye-catching (such as thumbnail, icon, etc?) Are the graphics and atmosphere meeting the mark for the type of game presented? Are the games enjoyable? Is there a clear path? …and whatever other criticism may be available.

So please, be brutally honest but let me know what is failing and what you find is going well (so that I can enhance any positive aspects.)

Got some feedback in-game;
Made a Tutorial
Put Shop Both physically and in GUI
Added signs for directions
Added a Gem System

Also looking for feedback on the ease of obtaining candy and if it’s too frustrating or slow. Open to increasing candy amounts a lot.

Gameplay wise this feels like a well made roblox event however design wise you have classic roblox elements mixed with lowpoly elements and some high detail builds all on top of terrain?- It feels like you just slapped as many free models together as you could- frankly you need to pick one style and stick with it or else your game feels like poorly made patchwork. aside from that Very fun things to do

This makes sense and I get what you mean. For the classic elements, I will remove a good portion of them. There’s a few I do like to keep (like the classic avatars ontop the food truck.) I really appreciate the honesty. Thank you!

Update;
Took out a lot of the low poly models and replaced with higher poly ones to keep things more consistent.
