I live in the United States, but a few months ago, I suddenly did not have access to chat. I was looking everywhere on how to fix it, and then I checked my account location. It now says: Bahrain. WHY??? I never moved or anything. it just changed. I sent roblox some requests, but they got denied and roblox said that it would update automatically after some time. IT HAS BEEN ATLEAST 3 MONTHS. And the worst part? I made a game on roblox and I can’t chat with the players. Why did it suddenly change? and why is it not automatically updating??? I am not sure if I have used a VPN or not, but I don’t think I have. and if I have, I disabled it. and what if roblox gets banned in Bahrain? it will be false termination.

I have no idea why Roblox would ban your account if Roblox were to be banned in a certain country as your account is still part of the global Roblox servers, if you have some sort of document or ID that can be considered valid proof of residence, you can contact support for them to change it.

this is because Bahrain made Roblox disable chat in their country due to safety issues, you cannot fix it without changing locations.

I also have the same issue, you are not alone.
A few months ago, Roblox changed my location to Germany.
The thing is, I no longer live in Germany. I was only there for 10 months on business, but I mainly live in the United States.
Previously, I was actually able to request Roblox to change my account location from Germany back to the United States. You had to provide documentation that you live in the country that you requested to change to.
Now for some reason, Roblox does not possess that capability for some reason anymore. Why? It does not make sense and it pisses me off. Roblox jacked up Robux prices by 40% because my account location was erroneously changed to Germany, when I previously could purchase Robux for my cheaper using USD.
It is quite pathetic.

Did you also get an automated message from Roblox saying that they are “unable to manually update your location at this time” or something along those lines?

Yes, I have same problem. I’ve already sent two emails, and the first one was a bot replying saying the region was being updated automatically. Three days later, a moderator replied saying they couldn’t help me with my problem. I really hope they’ll change something in the future
