False DMCA Ban - Asset Removed by Automation (Need Manual Review)

Hi Roblox Team,
My Name Is: Yungwzz.

My game asset was recently removed due to an “Intellectual Property Violation” and I received a 3-day ban.
Asset name: [GEEK TIME | +10] :earth_africa: Emote Social
Asset ID: 88254865386453

The moderation notice says this was detected by automated means.
This asset was either created by my team or properly paid for — no stolen content was used. It was made fully within Roblox’s rules.

This is already the second false ban I’ve received.
About a month ago, a similar automated action removed my game, but support later confirmed it was a mistake and restored access.

I’ve submitted an appeal (Ticket ID: 123709156) and really hope this one is reviewed manually too.

Additionally, I noticed something strange — even though my account is banned for 3 days, I’m still able to post here on the DevForum.
I have no idea what specific rule I may have broken, as the ban notice only shows the Asset ID and does not mention any clear reason or explanation.

This is very concerning, and I kindly ask for a deeper look into this. If these automated bans continue every month, it will become nearly impossible to keep developing my game.

Thank you for your time.

Copyright infringement? Can you share the asset here?

Help and Feedback categories are for developer-to-developer communication, not for communication with Roblox teams. Those go through Bug Reports and Feature Requests generally.

Oh, I thought I couldn’t use error messages for this issue.

The automated ban didn’t say what constitutes copyright infringement.

In the message itself it says there was a “copyright removal request” AKA a DMCA claim. Roblox is required to immediately take an asset reported through DMCA down until a counter-notice is filed or it is determined to be an error on their part.

The “automated notice” could either mean that an identical asset uploaded by someone else was DMCA claimed and your one was also taken down, or that immediately takedown due to DMCA claims are considered “automated” by Roblox.

Hi!

I believe you get a email on a copyright strike. Roblox does not actually actively review this form and even if Roblox Staff does spot this post they are likely unable to help you. You should be able to submit a counter notice on every DMCA Strike

As far as i know, appeals through the Roblox Support form are always manually reviewed. I’m not a lawyer nor got experience from a DMCA Strike but my guess is that you can email copyright_agent@roblox.com to get in touch with a DMCA Agent for more information. I would wait for a response by the appeals team still

Hope this helps
