Falsely Moderated by Roblox Automated System + Group locked due to UGC Asset

My account (timetonotbelame, 143992641) was falsely moderated because of Roblox’s automated system for an UGC item that I uploaded on September 16, 2026. My group/community (Khoisie, 33060834) was also locked due to the account being banned.

Originally, my account received a 7 day ban for “Terrorism/Extremist” over a UGC asset I uploaded (Asset ID: 113205586370034), despite nine identical items but just in different hair colors having already been uploaded and approved. When we appealed, an appeals staff member reviewed the ticket and confirmed that the asset did not violate any rules. They told us the account would be unbanned and the deleted asset restored within 3 business days. I thanked them and waited. After about 4 business days with no changes, I replied asking for an update. A different staff member then responded that, after reviewing the case, they would not lift the ban, contradicting the earlier decision. This was very confusing, but since the original 7 day ban was scheduled to expire the next morning, I decided to wait it out. However, later that same night, the ban was unexpectedly changed to a permanent termination with the Moderator note saying “Inappropriate content/behavior” and that was it. When we replied to the original ticket explaining that the ban had been changed to a permanent termination, they said they could not provide any further information or assistance. We have not heard back since. We also submitted separate tickets specifically appealing the termination, but none have received a response. It has now been about two weeks.

Over the past two weeks, we have lost approximately $1,200–$1,500 in UGC earnings, and those losses continue to grow while the ban remains in place due to all of the items being archived. What I believe was an automated moderation bug error has severely affected my income and my ability to keep up with bills and mortgage payments, I’m in a financial crisis till this issue is resolved.

Original Support Ticket ID about the 7 days ban: #182561594
Support Ticket ID about the termination & detailed explanation all proof regarding the permanent ban: #183072170

Expected behavior

I’m requesting that my account be unbanned and my group/community unlocked, as they were mistakenly moderated by the automated system. I’ve already contacted Roblox Support but haven’t received a response to my latest appeal. I would appreciate a manual review to help resolve this, I have always been following Roblox’s rules.

@DevRelationsTeam @DevEngagementTeam Please take a look and help me.

Wow, this is insane. I hope Roblox support gets back to you quickly on this

Still nothing, absolutely no response from Roblox Support. It seems like there’s hundreds of people affected by this also. A lot of people are posting about it on X.

Either the same reason as mine or Harmful Behavior/Content. Some of them also experienced a ban reason being changed out of nowhere like I did also.

Thank you so much, I’m just hoping. It been over 2 weeks now…

Just to clarify to Roblox staff:

Support Ticket #182561594: Regarding my appeal for the 7 days suspension: Appeals staff initially accepted it and confirmed that the suspension would be lifted after determining I had not violated any rules. However, a different staff member later reviewed the case and reversed that decision, saying the suspension would remain. These contradictory responses have been extremely confusing and frustrating. Decision was made but this was only for the original 7 days suspension

Support Ticket #183072170: This concerns my appeal of the actual account termination, which occurred unexpectedly while I was still serving the original 7 days suspension. The moderation reason also changed from “Terrorism/Extremism” to “Inappropriate Content/Behavior.” As of today, it has been 17 days, and I still have not received a response to my termination appeal.

I mentioned this under your post on Twitter as well, but I’ll explain it here too.

It’s because of the name of the asset. Roblox has not been allowing that word, which starts with “c,” on their platforms for a while now. (and yes im not gonna mention the name here just to be safe :skull_and_crossbones::folded_hands:)

There are a few more exact same cases on different parts of the DevForum where items were moderated for the same reason. If I come across them, I’ll edit this and add them here.

If you look at the “Offensive Item” section in the ban panel, you’ll see that the moderated content isn’t even the 3D Marketplace item itself, but its texture dependency. Looking at the name of the moderated image, you’ll understand what I mean:

In the support message where they said they would restore the UGC item, the agent replied based only on the UGC hair itself and assumed everything was fine. However, after seeing the name of the moderated image, they decided not to restore the item after all, reversing their original decision, which is why you can see that change in the ticket afterward:

I’d appreciate it if a staff member could confirm what I’m saying, because that’s essentially what this whole situation comes down to.

I’d have to respectfully disagree because Roblox’s system approved the other 11 identical items (but in different hats or hair colors). Before being published, they all had the same name when originally uploaded, with the only difference being a number from 1 to 11 at the end. As of today, they’re all still not deleted besides the only one that got me terminated.

I already have explained this to someone under my post before.

Hello,

After days of research, I believe I have identified why I was falsely flagged by the automated system. Could a staff member please reach out to me directly so we can discuss this? @DevEngagementTeam @DevRelationsTeam
