Fantasy v. SciFi?

ROBLOX is a game with ever changing fan bases and preferences which is why I ask this question;
My main theme of games has always been MMO, Story arch, RPG based. Creating an immersive universe for Players to engage with and become a part of.

I’m stuck between two genres: SciFi and Fantasy.

My SciFi game will take place on several Planets with the ability to travel between them; exploring the different cultures of Planets, races etc.

My Fantasy game will take place in a fantasy realm - With its own story driven narrative, towns, quests, etc.

Genre wise, which sounds more appealing or grabs interest?

If you make that scifi game tell me when its done I think it might just be one of my favorite games! Sounds so fun!

Personally love Fantasy way more, but it’s always up to you.

SciFi is my favorite because it deals with technology most of the time. If you make a SciFi game, I will play it for sure!

SciFi builds do attract me but if we are talking about genre it doesn’t. It isn’t very creative. On the other hand, fantasy is great genre and it is mostly created from imagination. It has a lot of potential to create a great story line. This is just my opinion of course.

My game idea in regards to SciFi:

Players have the capability to pilot their own Starship throughout the galaxies - Engaging in the story of the Universe etc.
Ideally, I’m planning for it to be set in a sort of Dystopian galactic future. But agreed, it is rather bland.
