FBX Animation File fails to load any keyframes

Hello there! So I’ve ran into a problem that involves importing an FBX file. Normally, I would create an animation from a third party source (Maya, sometimes Blender), then convert that animation into an FBX file, and finally import that into the built-in Animation Editor in studio.

However in recent time, importing the FBX File fails to actually load any keyframes onto the timeline. This isn’t a rig issue, as I can play other animations that are already published on Roblox. Not only this, but I’ve made sure to follow the correct exporting process to ensure it can properly import into studio.

I’m not exactly sure if it’s a problem in studio, or the third party applications, but I’m pretty lost on how to fix this, and I’m just wondering if there’s an easy way to fix this? Thanks for taking the time to help out!

I don’t really know how to help you, but are you choosing the “Selected” option? The Selected is what I choose, and it works.

FBX animations are broken right now - this is a common pain point with Blender exports. The reliable solution is to skip FBX entirely and follow this pipeline instead:

Basically, import the rig into Studio without animations, then create your animations using the workflow in the guide. This avoids missing keyframes, keeps everything R15/Motor6D-compatible, and works every time.
