Feature Request: Give Developers the Ability to Bulk Delete or Archive Their Assets

Summary

Roblox developers need better asset management tools, specifically the ability to bulk delete or archive assets they no longer need.

Currently, Roblox does not natively support deleting assets through Creator Dashboard. Developers who have uploaded large numbers of assets have limited control over cleaning up their own asset libraries.

Problem

Over time, developers accumulate large amounts of unused content:

  • Old test assets
  • Duplicate uploads
  • Previous versions of models
  • Unused animations
  • Abandoned project assets
  • Temporary development files

Without proper asset management tools, developers are forced to keep unused assets in their libraries indefinitely.

This creates unnecessary clutter and makes it harder to organize active development work.

Proposed Solution

Add an asset management system that allows developers to manage their uploaded assets in bulk.

Option 1: Bulk Delete

Allow developers to select multiple assets and permanently remove them.

Possible features:

  • Checkbox selection
  • Select all filtered results
  • Bulk delete action
  • Confirmation prompts before deletion

Option 2: Asset Archive System

If permanent deletion is not possible, provide an archive system.

Archived assets would:

  • No longer appear in normal asset lists
  • Be hidden from active workflows
  • Remain associated with the developer’s account
  • Be recoverable if needed

For Technical Limitations

If Roblox cannot fully delete asset data from its servers due to technical, legal, moderation, backup, or infrastructure reasons, the system does not necessarily need to physically remove every copy of the data.

At minimum, developers should have the ability to remove their own access to the asset.

For example:

  • Remove the asset from Creator Dashboard
  • Hide it from the developer’s library
  • Prevent it from appearing in normal asset searches
  • Mark it as archived or inactive

The goal is not necessarily immediate physical data destruction; the goal is giving developers control over managing their own workspace and asset visibility.

Safety Measures

To prevent accidental loss:

  • Require confirmation before deletion
  • Display the number of selected assets
  • Provide an archive option as a safer alternative
  • Clearly warn users before irreversible actions

Developer Benefits

This would improve the creator experience by:

  • Reducing asset library clutter
  • Making large projects easier to maintain
  • Improving organization for professional developers
  • Allowing safer experimentation
  • Giving creators more control over their uploaded content

Why This Matters

Many developers have been creating on Roblox for years and have accumulated thousands of assets. Professional development requires the ability to manage, organize, and retire old content.

Roblox already provides powerful creation tools, but asset lifecycle management is an important missing part of the workflow.

Even if permanent deletion is not currently feasible, an official archive or removal-from-view system would be a major improvement.

Request: Please add bulk asset management tools, including bulk deletion or an archive system, to Creator Dashboard.
