[Feedback] Built a house

This is my first time actually finishing a build. It took me about a week with the time I had available.
I’ll play with coloring later, but I honestly love the grey/black/white aesthetic.

Interior

What are ways I can improve it?

How much would this go for?

I didn’t build the refrigerator and the oven

In my opinion, you should play around with the lighting such as turning on the shadow map and see how it looks. The texture on the floor and on some the furniture looks a bit weird and out of place. You might want to look into the upcoming changes such as custom materials that could fix that weird out of place look. But it might just be all in the lightings since the house looks really unlit. But other than some textures being out of place and the house being unlit everything else seems fine.

How do I turn on shadow map? Thanks for the feedback!

It is located under the lighting properties. It is sent to Voxel by default but you can change it to the ShadowMap using the drop down menu. Lighting > Technology > ShadowMap

In my opinion the exterior is too blocky. Try adding extension and indents to make it a more natural shape.

The exterior looks amazing! But maybe you can use a tiny bit more colours or maybe do a more realistic look in the interior. This might be able to go for 500, maybe 700 at max. Well done and a happy new year to you!

Did you end up using any meshes on the walls or floors? You should try and create them part by part, it looks much more realistic and not just like some large part.

Suggestions:

  • Have more of a colour variety and try to combine the roof and walls together more. The roof is way too dark for the walls and they do not really blend well together.
  • Add environmental features such as trees, bushes, grass, rocks, etc.
  • Add more parts to the garage, they are way too far apart.
  • Give the door and windows more detail, add more parts.
  • Move the path and drive way above the grass a little bit.
  • Make the path a different colour or style so players know what is what.
  • Add more detail to the inside walls, they are simply too plain and comparing the whole house to the exterior and the items outside do not really blend well together.

No meshes were used other than in the furniture. Thanks for the suggestions!
