I am extremely proud of myself with this build. With the help of no tutorial, I made this golf cart from scratch in Blender. It was made for a commission, and I had no idea if I could even attempt to make a vehicle but it looks really good in my opinion. Anything I should change/add before I send it off?
Looks absolutely amazing. I currently have no suggestions as of right now, and I think you should send it off. (Just as long that the price is good.)
Good luck!
Looks pretty good! However, I’d suggest using smooth shading in some areas like the wheels, since the edges are pretty visible.
I’m pretty sure that’s the point of low poly, but I did see how it looked with a smooth wheel and it’s eh. However I do see what your saying, thanks!
I really like the style and colors you used. However, that is this weird thing (picture below)?
For the rest this looks extremely good, keep on the good work!
It looks good! A few things I wanted to point out though:
- That seat is w i d e.
- Maybe add a finish? Or a tint even?
- Model a tiny rig for the front, it looks luxurious and the little statue for the logo will make it look even better!
You might want to smooth the edges of the roof and the tyres to make it look better.
It was a bend that was part of many of the golf carts I looked at,
Also for @Cinema_Sin The seats are even wider on these ones. And the statue was a great Idea but the buyer did not want it. Thanks, guys!
wow.
super cool, but maybe add some little decoration or something ?
It looks very sleek and perfect for a low poly game! Good job.
Is it genuine low poly though? Low poly doesn’t refer to the way something looks, it literally refers to a low amount of polygons being used in a structure. You could still add shading and make the wheels look more round and still not compromise your polygon count.
I think that you should revisit the wheels for sure because squarish wheels don’t really look great unless part of the aesthetic of your game is a cartoony, non-realistic, block-like feel. The way the wheels look now don’t contrast the rest of the vehicle, although some surfaces even then don’t look smooth and the edges stick out like a sore thumb.
Overall good work though.
Yea, I do understand the point of low-poly. But the way I’m using it here is for the aesthetic as well. Smooth wheels really don’t fit the rest of the build as every part of it has clear edges, also forgot to mention that the buyer doesn’t intend on having it scripted but more as a decoration. Thanks for the feedback!
