The Game:
The game is about plates, where you stand on them and random events / disasters happen, and you have to survive.
It’s heavily inspired by plates of fate. and lab experiment.
Update for what I have added
I added many things
Polished some Gui and custom inventory system / UI
Sure, I’m going to work on that.
The game is still in pre-alpha, I will start polishing everything once I finish everything else.
That also means no multiplayer for the most part, so I’m trying my best to make it fun for singleplayer for this case.
singleplayer will be removed for release which still is a long time from now, I may add singleplayer to private servers only?
I don’t think this is the correct mindset here. Your game genre is definitely one that should heavily focus on multiplayer. And Roblox itself is multiplayer focused. You definitely shouldn’t make the game singleplayer even in pre-alpha. As it’s not helpful to have a singleplayer for the future of the game
I never said I will make it singleplayer, you misunderstood, I clearly said I’ll remove singleplayer in the future:
the game can be played in both multiplayer and singleplayer, I only said ill focus on making singleplayer as fun as possible for pre-alpha, that includes multiplayer, because it’s a bit boring for some to test, but that’s how it is:
So, if I make something for singleplayer, that automatically applies for multiplayer to.
by “That also means no multiplayer for the most part” I actually meant that not so many players play the game in its current stage
thank you though, I just didn’t explain well, I hope you understand now.
to make plans for releasing the game
I have a question to ask, if this is a good idea:
the game could literally die immediately if I do something wrong at release:
the amount of players that are needed for the game / round to start,
I could do 4 minimum, but the player would probably leave right away before another one joins.
I thought about making it 2 minimum, if only 2 to 3 players are playing, make the winner only receive a win score of 1 when winning, if the round ended after 30 events or above to prevent abuse with the win system.
if there are more than 3 players then it gives a win no matter the events.
around 30% finished, I still have to add it to the game and script the boss system later on.
It’s a turret boss that’s going to shot lasers and release drones, and maybe random events.
What do you guys think of this
I finished the boss and fully added it to the game.
the Turret Boss appears every 3 rounds right after 10 events have passed.
spoiler:
The boss’s health is determined by the amount of players playing, so
1 player equals +500 health for the boss, and the minimum is 1000 health.
I’ve also replaced the start menu music with a random one
