This is one of the first icons I’ve ever put effort into for one of my games. I used blender and photoshop to create this icon.
Upon test releasing my game and sponsoring it for 200 robux, I only got a .35% CTR for pc. On mobile, I got much worse which was a .1% CTR. Personally, I find the icon to stand out from the rest of the front page, and I’ve even asked my friends to spot the icon when I photoshopped it into one of the front page games. I’ve also used emojis to further catch people’s attention.
Is there anything I can do to this icon to increase the CTR?
Keep in mind, there are so many games to choose from. It isn’t easy to miss or overlook the sponsored games when players load the game page.
I do have to say though, I am quite surprised the CTR rate on mobile was much lower than PC. From personal experience, PC was always the lowest by a long-shot. If I’m not mistaken the more robux you put in, the lower the CTR rate will be. But also considering you only sponsored with 200 robux, I’m sure the impressions weren’t through the roof to begin with, which is what surprises me.
In addition to this, this may have something to do with the time you sponsored. Most people begin sponsoring around late morning - mid-afternoon. This is because most people are playing around this time, resulting in higher impressions. (and possibly a higher CTR) A 200 robux sponsor will be shown much less than a 50k+ robux sponsor. Even if you sponsor a smaller amount, doing it at the right times could still get you positive results.
In my opinion, it’s not the icon, it probably has something to do with the amount you put in to the sponsor, or the time of day you decided to run the sponsor!
200 Robux is basically nothing when it comes to sponsoring. While a .35% CTR is on the lower end of normal, it might do you well to try again with a bigger sample size.
