[FEEDBACK] Low Poly GFX Render 2

I posted a feedback topic yesterday and you guys told me that I should fix the lighting and shadows of the objects. Here is a another render I did today. Hope it’s better than the last!

Forgot about the arms being black for some reason. Anyone know how to fix that in Cinema4D?

It looks beautiful but it would look better if the arms were not black. :slight_smile:

It is pretty good, I would personally work on posing. The grass could be fixed a litte to make it more realistic… I would also look into texture pbr maps and try to apply them to this. The overall composition is decent but its a little empty. I would zoom it on those two people a little bit more. The green guy in my eyes is blending into the background a lot. It’s not bad. Keep going.

The looks of the grass aren’t as realistic, and I would love if the trees have a better shape to it, to make it look more of a real tree. The furniture turned out great, it looks amazing. I would maybe put the guy in green doing something else as it sort of looks like it’s either floating or jumping. Maybe put something interesting in the background, for it to draw some focus to everything.

For lightning I recommend switching to the following as it seems like you used a physical sky:

  • Volumetric lighting:
    This can be done by making a light with the following settings:
    General tab::: For sun, very slight yellow tone, shadow: shadow maps, visible light: inverse volumetric.
    Details tab::: Faloff: Inverse square ¶
    Shadows tab::: Shadow maps (soft)
    Noise tab::: Mess around with it, usually a very low wavy turbelence looks good.
    Lens tab::: Optional

Then use these render settings:

  • Enable global illumination
  • Enable ambient occlusion

Let me know if you need more.

Great GFX so far!

I suggest reducing the grass since this is low poly, which is a very simplistic look. Right now it’s a blend of realism and low poly. Try using modeled grass, not particle effects or something along those lines.

Also, the people blend in with the scenery which kind of makes them hard to find, especially that green jumping guy in the middle. Somehow make them pop out of the scene.

Other than that, great job!

Looks good!

The floating guy sorta makes it look a bit off though.
