Hey I got bored and thought what if I made an obby where a brick is chasing you. So I did and here is how it turned out. First I am asking for feedback on the concept not how many stages there are and other things like that, because I am adding more stages probably while you are reading this. Second I want to know if there are any bugs. Third I want to know if I need to speed up the brick or slow it down. Anything else would be appreciated. Also any ideas for stages? Thank you.
Okay, so the feature is a good idea, but if the player somehow spawns in, and he takes time to move (example, he needed to do something in real life) you will get kicked (not killed) by the brick, and maybe the player will never come back. So instead of the brick following you since the start, make it follow you once you actually start the obby.
Kicking the player may seem a little harsh, but some games got popular with kicking mechanics, so i don’t really mind that. However, it’s necessary to have that mentioned in the description.
Also, the obby is a little bland, try adding some decorations or color it.
If you fall, make the player fast teleport to the stage he is in, instead of falling for about 8 seconds into the fallen parts destroy height, thus making the red brick follow the player when he was falling. The last is a minor issue, but i recommend just teleporting the player to the stage he was if he fell off the obby. And also reduce the respawn time
Anyways that was my short feedback. good luck!
edit: also i think you don’t aim for this game to become popular, but i’ve put the feedback you wanted still
Hey! I made multiple changes that you suggested. First I made the brick spawn only when you first move. Second I made the respawn time 1 second. Third I changed the description to tell the player you get kicked. Fourth I made the player teleport back to their stage when they fall off. If you want to check out these new things and give me feedback I would love that, but thank you for the feedback!
Hi Asherasher_dz! Just tried out your game, Obby But A Brick Is Chasing You.
I love the unique twist of a brick actually chasing you in an obby — it keeps things tense and interesting! The chase mechanic adds a fun bit of pressure not found in typical obbies. However, the visuals are very minimal, and I ran into a couple of sudden kicks that broke the immersion a bit.
If you improve the polish and maybe add some more visual flair, this concept could be a standout!
