The render is ok, but it’s too far from the screen, and there’s not really much that tells you what the gfx is about.

Way to far from the screen. It looks like you have just gone in the game and taken a screen shot and edited out the mouse and stuff.
Sorry for the harsh feedback thats what I really think. Keep on practicing!
Render is not too good. The character is too far from the screen and the background is bland. Add effects and change the background as well as move it close.
