Feedback on a side project I'm working on (Not finished)

Hello there!

I’m currently working on a side project for a main game I am also working on. I’d decided to release the project early so players like you can play.

What I’m looking is feedback and anything I should add or improve.
(Btw, the massive spot on the other platform is going to house a mini bossfight and a massive JTOH tower. But as I stated earlier, it’s not finished yet.)

The build is interesting. It’s a kind of surrealist style I don’t see often on this platform. I’m also kind of curious where the music came from.

Anyways, Erik Cassel is very old.

Yep, it’s pretty surreal. The design choice is primarily inspired by Badges In Time and I guess MUGEN unintentionally?

The music is really just Darkness Dueling but extremely slowed down and distorted a bit I guess. Really wanted to replicate that nostalgic, demented feeling, especially with the old roblox feel to it.

yep.

Anyway, any suggestions to improve?

In my original post I was wondering whether there was a typo in Erik Cassel’s birthdate. Did it mean to say 1967 instead of 1697 or was that intentional?

Besides that, another thing I noticed is that you can climb on some of the chains that connect onto one of the main islands. If you’re good at parkour you could probably use one of them to get onto one of the inaccessible islands.

I also don’t feel like the UI when you pick up the sword fits with the rest of the game. I’d suggest maybe changing the font (though this probably isn’t ideal for the retro style) or putting a box around the text to make it mesh better with the build. It also feels a little bit clunky when the text scales down as it gets longer.

  1. According to the Roblox wiki, he was apparently born in December 16, 1967 – February 11, 2013. So most likely intentional.

  2. The chains are fairly spread out, so it still impossible to reach the those islands. Although I was considering to add secret teleporters, paths, etc to get their for a secret badge.

  3. Yeah, I’m not really much of a GUI person.
