My friend @xnNova made this animation, it’s a potential walking animation we might use for our game.
Not sure 100% if it’s going to get used yet but I figured I’d post it here since hes been improving a lot and I’m wondering if you guys have any tips for this style of “choppy” animation, I personally think it’s great for his first few animations especially:
I think that your friend has a lot of potential as an animator! Although I’ve never seen this “choppy” style of animation, I like it and think that it’s quite creative. However, you’ll have to be careful using this animation, because the lag on it creates a vibe (I would say a sort of “glitchy” vibe) that won’t fit with nearly any of the games on the Roblox platform - that would be why it is so unique. May I ask what game you are considering adding this to? (I’m simply curious, that’s all).
Another problem that could arise as a result of this is that players think that their characters are lagging as a result of poor game efficiency on your part. Consequently, you’ll have to implement it to the game in a way that makes them aware that the animation is intentional (not yet sure what that might look like).
Overall, this animation is a tricky one to use, but could have a very good result if used correctly. Hopefully this feedback was helpful!
Never seen anything like this before, but this is really unique, and I can’t wait to see what you’ll be doing with this animation style, I would definitely play a game like this using these kinds of animations.
