Hello Developers!
Please take a look at the following images below. I would just like some general feedback on my work down at my portfolio, any feedback will then allow me to improve on it.
These are some great low-poly models. I like how you made the church (At least it looks like a church) a little bit slanted. However, take a look at the picture below:
The wall is a little bit glitchy, and personally I believe the bricks should align a little bit more. Not completely, just a little bit. I rate this a 9/10, and I hope to see more of your builds in the future!
For the water tank one I would definitely recommend raising the water tank in height because it seems just a little too simplistic right now. Maybe add a railing?
Pretty nice builds. Couple of things that maybe you could consider is that the water tank mesh is a little crazy on the tris for how simplistic it is… If you are going for that low poly simplistic look I think it’d fit better as well as perform better in terms of game optimization if you bumped those cylinders down to like 12-16 vertices around. Also the 2nd house image had some z-fighting as well as the textures not being aligned. Roblox added in a offset property which could probably help you align that. Also, a small thing, the left wall on the same house is a different color. Other than that really solid builds, good work!
I definitely agree with @CodyDevv, and I would even recommend going below 12 vertices with how many rings you have in the water tower. A good rule of thumb is to try to keep your smaller background assets sub 650 tris. I really love how you did the church, however I’d recommend if you want to stay true to the lowpoly artstyle, you should use a decal for the rope instead of using arts. When doing flatshaded lowpoly, you never want to have clashing tiny details clashing with the blocky, cartoony look of your builds. Same applies for your VIP and Shop store, as those dramatically add more tris to your builds.
Overall I’d say you have a pretty good grasp thus far, but I’d recommend trying to keep a consistent tri usage with your future builds. Keep it up! 8/10
