Hello! I’m looking for feedback on my weapons system, currently there’s only an M9 added;
This is very barebones, as I’m trying to get the feel of the weapons down then add onto them.
There is no dynamic ammo system, or ADS; both of which are planned. You can put the M9 on safe with “X” and vice versa.
However, something with the shooting just feels off and I can’t put my finger on it. All feedback is appreciated on anything from reload timing, to audio.

The recoil jumps up too quickly. When you compensate for it by moving the mouse down it feels like a seizure is about to be induced. All jokes aside, the recoil does cause a jitter which feels unnatural. The reload animation is a bit swift, but besides that, looks good.
Alright, right now i’m just taking the cams CFrame and multiplying it by CFrame.Angles, I’ll tween/lerp it to give it a more smooth feel.

Alright, after lots of trial and error trying to get the recoil to feel smoother I think i’ve done it. I’ve noticed that the viewmodel will shift left if you’re strafing left as you fire, but this is mitigated when using an FPS unlocker so possibly just a limitation of renderstepped? If you could take a look again whenever possible that would be greatly appreciated!
Hey again. I could not seem to replicate the strafing issue you had, but I am running at 60 FPS.
I noticed a bug where if you ADS with the AR-15 while it is running through the equip animation that it does a half-ads and is offset to the right of the screen. It is corrected momentarily when firing and then slowly Lerping or Tweening back into the position where it started.
I find the jump in recoil to be abrupt yet controllable and is seems good. It seems suited more for slow controlled shots rather than holding auto fire, which is good alternate take to the “shoot 9000 bullets and slightly pull down” which other weapon kits use, although keep tweaking this to perfection.
It is coming together quite well. Would you be allowing other people to use this weapon system? It seems awesome and I would love to use it someday.
Might open source it at some point, going for a more gritty/realistic feel instead of the more general arcade feel of most shooters. I’ll fix the ADS bug you noted that’s just an oversight on my end lol.
