The reaper will hunt all the ghost but there is a twist
The ghost can go invisible if not moving but the reaper can detect if there is a nearby ghost
The ghost has a soul bar and everytime he is not moving it deplenishes, everytime he moves he gains soul. if the soul bar is empty then the ghost can no longer be invis
I appreciate your feedbacks and suggestions. Thank you for your time
The game is still on demo mode so there might be some bugs
I would add a max to how long a ghost can build up their soul energy. I’d also add at least some sort of SFX to the reaper, such as a heart beat or the sound of “souls/spirits” might be more fitting. Obviously a scythe sound would be quite nice as well.
I was going to suggest having the time limit be dynamic, based on the number of ghosts the reaper has to hunt. But then I noticed that the reaper gains time by reaping ghosts, so I’m not so sure anymore as that fits quite well too.
Some other ideas might also be abilities of some kind. They could be purchased from a shop perhaps and would expend soul energy when cast to perform some sort of action, and would obviously have a cool down. Perhaps the reaper could have its own abilities as well. Perhaps just different types of reapers. But that’s just a thought.
Overall, the concept is a nice twist on the hunter concept. It reminds me a bit of Prop Hunt. I would definitely try to find more gameplay elements that fit with ghostly/spirit theme as well, to further increase the game’s uniqueness.
Long explanation about the number one thing round-based games should have:
I will say that games that require multiplayer aren’t very easy to get going. Plus when they die, they die. There is one thing you can do that will greatly help any game of this type. This really includes all round-based multiplayer games. Please have a title screen with an auto-lobby system. I’ve played so many games where I’m stuck waiting minutes just to wait for the next round. Any game designer knows that leaving a player with nothing to do is almost always the worst possible thing you can do. When I play a round-based multiplayer game, I should automatically be connected to either a new lobby or a lobby about to start a round. There should also be an option to join a new lobby (via the same system) between rounds, if I don’t feel like waiting for the rest of the round to end (if I died too early in the round or whatever). This is the number one thing missing from almost every game of this type on Roblox. But at the very least, if you can’t do that, give something for the player to do in the meantime that is genuinely fun or important enough to hold them over for a few minutes (or however long a round might be).
