Feedback On Eerie Looking LowPoly Jungle Map [Also some help needed]

I created this Eerie looking jungle inspired from images like these but in LowPoly style

Some ingame pictures:

It looks great but sometimes it feels like that everything was just smashed together.

Any feedback and suggestions?

Thanks

I think it would give a way more ā€˜eerie’ atmosphere if it wasn’t so open. Another change I would make it making the fog start VERY soon, and give it a grey-ish green color like in the reference picture, possibly give the skybox a less saturated color. I’m getting almost an airport runway kind of vibe off the two images you posted, since that path is so open. But if you’re just going for similar-looking trees, I think you nailed it.

The place look very nice the only problem that i see is the tree leaf look too plastic and dosent fit the jungle that much other than that its all good!

But it is supposed to look plastic

Got it!
I will add some details in the path

The terrain is a realistic grass but the leaf is plastic maybe change terrain into more plastic-ish grass :eyes:

It would be much more eerie if it didn’t feel so… Lively. :o
It would be much more eerie if you were to make the Jungle denser, to the point where it blocks out most of the sky, or at least around 40% of it. Also putting more things such as bushes can give it the feeling something could be hiding anywhere, making it much creepier.
I also could suggest putting a more beige or brown or just darker dusk sky rather than the Violent Days skybox, since it’s very bright and pops out a lot.
Hope this helps! :3
Here’s a possible reference for the sky, lighting and such from Slendytubbies:

Thanks for the feedback

I forgot to add like I don’t want to add realistic eerie look
I want to keep it in lowpoly style with fantasy look,I hope you get what I mean lol

I added the skybox as you said

Thanks again

No problem! The picture was just to reference the atmosphere and Skybox and lighting and fog.

I think your ā€œeerie jungleā€ looks really nice. I like the shipwreck featuring other vegetation you added inside the water and the trees it’s very well done, and around the whole map has a nice open space showing the eerie feel to it. And i see you are getting inspiration off of the real life (Costa Rica Jungle), and i can say. It has a remarkable style to it however the jungle itself i feel like. You should add some jungle rocks inside the water, with some moss covering it since that’s what you would mostly see in different. Kind of jungles around the world overall but the jungle your making i don’t believe your trying to feature any! Other vegetation around the whole map but if you are i would try adding some ferns, ivies, shrubs, bushes, sticks, leaves, vines, ect. Overall those are some of the vegetation you want to try. To include to set an eerie feeling in a tropical jungle, but the reference image your, going off from it’s really nice but if you want it to, be a full completed jungle i know it will look great with. Trees blocking out most of the sky, because if you go to a tropical jungle you would mostly see! This in jungles where it blocks most of, the sky and not have a very open space. Overall since you want to try to keep a low poly style to it i would definitely.

Try adding some pond plants inside so it could give it that eerie feel it such as the following water lettuce, water hyacinth, pitcher plants, blue iris, pickerelweed, horsetail, taro pond plants, ect. However just make sure you don’t go a bit over, board with the vegetation since you don’t want to go for a realistic look. You just want to keep it a low poly fantasy look, to the whole jungle overall if you add other vegetation and plants! Around the whole map and inside the pond it well, still be a low poly jungle even if you want to add. Other vegetation because jungles in real life you could see other vegetation! On the ground on trees in the pond and around, the whole map and environment. But i would just give your jungle a little more details to it so it. Could look more better and improved just try doing something like that i know! It would turn out really good however if you. Don’t plan on adding other vegetation these could be here for your future jungles, forest, and rainforest projects if you plan on making another jungle in the future i would most likely add different kinds of plants, vegetation around different places in the map! Anyways you have a very nice eerie jungle feel!!

Overall aside all of that going into details i think your (Eerie Jungle), has a very nice style to it i know it will look more better with the final vegetation. Around different places in the map such as the pond, trees, and the whole jungle itself! But i do know your not trying to go for a realistic look you always want, to keep it low poly which is amazing however. i do believe you where planning on adding all the details i listed above however, if you needed vegetation or was going to think of other ideas those are some i’ll! Add since these kind of vegetation are all in different kind of jungles even rainforest. Overall You have done a impressive job on it i know it will look more improved with the final details it’s suppose to have in the eerie jungle. Featuring the other vegetation and plants and i really like the eerie set you have here nicely done on the design! Hope to see the final eerie jungle i’ll be visiting again from time to time.
