Feedback on Game

So I’ve been making a game, it’s round based and it’s about escaping a maze with disappearing walls. You can collect ice cream in the maze, and there’s hazards to avoid, faux ice cream to avoid, and there are speed boosters in the maze that, obviously boost your speed, and you can also purchase powerups with ice creams. My friends say that the game has potential, which is great, but I’d also like to hear from other people, and what they think about my game.

Here’s the link to the game. All feedback is greatly appreciated.

I’ve played the game and it’s pretty good, the lobby is pretty good and can entertain players why they wait, though i feel like the gameplay itself can get improved. It can get boring pretty quickly, A lot of it is just luck based, I suggest you add something that requires skill to go through, for example u have to do some jumps to get to the other area before it closes off in some places. Little things like that can improve the gameplay by a lot.

The game was pretty fun, although I was able to gather a hefty amount of feedback out of the 10+ rounds I played.

First Impressions
They say a first impression is a lasting impression, and the first impression for Maze Craze was pulled off great. I loved the play screen at the beginning, and it did a great job at showing the simple colorful pop of the entire game. The music was a bit calm for the theme portrayed throughout the game, although it was still nice.

I have to admit a tutorial would have been nice, and even though I knew the basic goal of the game from the description in the original post, I still found myself a bit confused with certain aspects of the game. For example, I had no idea when I first played you aren’t supposed to touch the hazards, so imagine my confusion when I walk over to an ice cream and get a pop-up covering my view of my avatar when I step on what seemed like an innocent chewy candy.
A tutorial would also make it easier for newer players who haven’t read the game description or played epic minigames to understand how to play.

Ice cream
I think it was super original to make ice cream the currency of Maze Craze. I was a bit baffled on how to spend my ice cream, though. I saw that you could spend it on power-ups, although I had trouble reading the descriptions.

I would add more of a variety of things you can buy with ice cream cones, for example, trails or effects.
The ‘fake’ ice creams are also unnecessary. I like the idea, but from where your camera is placed when you play, its nearly impossible to tell the difference between normal ice cream and a faux one. If you don’t want to remove fake ice creams, at least make them like bright green so it’s easier to tell if its fake.

Premium
I liked the originality behind the floating premium icon over Roblox premium members, although, in reality, it was just distracting and a bit annoying to have it floating over my head at all times. This is just my personal opinion, but I would have much rather had a chat-tag saying I was a premium member than a floating icon at all times.

Intermission and lobby
I really liked the obby in the lobby (that rhymes :no_mouth:), and spent a good majority of my waiting time doing it.
Here are 2 recommendations for the intermission though:

Spectate option - This is pretty self-explanatory. A spectate option would be nice for players who have already finished the maze or who joined while a round was in progress.

Skip round if nobody is playing - This one will require more explaining. Basically, in a nutshell, skip to intermission if everyone in the server has already finished the maze. When I played, most of the time I would be in a server alone, and after finishing the maze in the 1st 30 seconds, Id have to just wait around for intermission to roll around.

Other
Here are 2 other things that would make the game a bit better if added:

“This is you” sign - In a full server, it’s easy to lose yourself if everyone crowds together. What this would do is make your character stand out by either pointing out your avatar at the beginning of the round or by making everyone else’s avatar partially transparent so you stand out.

Move with arrow keys - Basically, so the arrow keys on a computer can be used for moving around the same as the WASD keys. Most newer players use the arrow keys to move, so this would make it less confusing for them to play.

Conclusion
This is a great game would I spend an hour writing a post about it if it wasn’t? , keep developing and take some of my advice and you’ve got yourself something amazing. Keep up the great work!

The game
The game overall is pretty good. I had a nice time there. The lobby was pretty neat to look at and introduced me to the game a little bit.

The Gameplay
I never won a single time since the walls rarely disappeared to whatever block I was in so that’s pretty cool. I noticed during the 5 rounds I played, the final 5 seconds just make the walls just stay solid. I would try to make the walls disappear at least one more time before the game ends, because the 5 seconds might make a player win.

I want to add on to @shu1ls, Not sure if intentional or not but whenever you hold right mouse button the camera zooms in making it a bit harder (at least for me because that really confuse me) Also, I love the day/night switch that was pretty cool and I like the Intro, it gave me as a player a neat introduction to the game style, Great Work!
Edit: I would love to see this game be popular one day, and flex on people that I was a beta tester XD, Maybe you can add some kind of rewards for winning(sorry I’m not sure if you already do because out of the 7 I played I, did not win. Also add some interactions with other people(Example: Make a team mode, or add trading  ))
