Feedback on GFX

Hey everyone, I made a “then and now” gfx for each username I’ve had for my avatar. If you guys could give some feedback on how I did and what can be improved on, it would help a lot.

The main struggle I had doing this is the shadows and what to do as background.

Wow nice GFX! i really like the poses of the characters, but i would personally add a light source infront of the characters in the gfx since it seems a little to dark.

Ok thank you for the feedback, I’ll really have to work on lighting.

Yo, for some reason I love the character in the middle’s pose, overall very good 9/10 because of the lighting.
Peace,

Honestly the characters look great, the only thing is the lighting is dark where it should be light I feel. Also there seems to be a persistent red theme, so maybe a red light to brighten up the front would look great! Although I really don’t do gfx, just a view from an outsider.

Thanks, I can see what you mean and I just like the color red a lot so its been kinda like my theme color. I do like the idea of the light in front of the characters as you said, but I’m not good at doing that yet. either way thanks for the feedback.

You should picture what scene you’re trying to make from my point of view it kind of looks like they won a battle or entering an arena, fighting ring something like that you could always find or select a background that matches the theme your going for the lighting is here and there but it depends on what your scene is?

You should implement another lighting in front to cast lighting on the character it’s up to you.

There’s different factors you could go about this include characters in the background or have them behind the bar cheering them on for whatever the concept you’re going for. Try experimenting or messing around with the lighting the shadows look good, but I think if you added a texture to the flooring or make the shadows less heavy it should look more natural.

I see what you mean about scene, I didn’t really have one in mind for this one but I’ll keep it in mind. Although, would I need to be good at modeling to make backgrounds like professional gfx makers do?

As for lighting/shadow, it might probably be the one I struggle with the most but thank you for your feedback.

You could try adding some different color lighting to it.

Very nice gfx. I think the one thing you might want to change is making the Background a bit more dark so we can’t see the guy with the flannels face. It will match more with the other people plus, it leaves lots of a dark feel to the gfx!!
